A guy I know posted that picture on facebook. He took it on October 3rd. Crazy how this place looks now just one year after it hosted the biggest race of the year.

Just like before the restored the place. It's sad to see.

That is like finding an old storage garage with a Ferrari F40 in it that has been in the garage from day 1.

I think i read somewhere that they have some legal problems with the land owners nearby or something like that?

They had legal issues and were forced to temporarily close and modify the site.

Don’t know if exactly true, but as far as I‘ve been told, the building behind the startgate was built without a proper permission. So now it’s about tearing it down or spending a lot of money to reopen the track.

That is such a shame! Maggiora is one of the greatest motocross tracks in the world. I'm really happy that I was able to attend last years MXON and visit the legendary track

I think any track would look the same when not ridden nor maintained during a year. Shame, though.
