OIR Raceway had their big pro day - 'twas a pretty spiffy affair.

Shawn Rife kicked buttocks in the pro class (two moto's, any size bike, paid per moto)

think he went 1-1 and home with about $1600.00... 30 riders - including

James Justice, Ben Ritter, TJ Phillips, Chris Carr, Nathan Skaggs,

Tony Gallo, Steve Roman. Willy Browning, Bornhorst bros. , Philip Harris,

MAD Mike Jones was competing in 30 + 40 + and looking very comfortable,

having fun and still fast...

Former COBRA Motorcycle owner Bud Maimone was in the house - had a new 65cc

bike he was testing with a young factory pilot from Bermuda (yes, Bermuda...)

It was a surreal day of moto fun. My son Joey won his first 450 B moto, only

to have a rock hit his KX450 throttle cables and bust one up, in moto-two

leaving him to fight over second....bummer....

I didn't ride. I coached, I tightened chains, I drank beer and milled about smartly

iT WAS A GOOD DAY..

He's been racing some around my neck of the woods again as well, he did the Steel City Pro-Am awhile back

Dang Rup.....if your boy won the 450B class he must be tearing it up pretty good. Just like always....you have to keep an eye on the young and fast "B" riders.....as it it usually isn't to much longer and they are towards the front in the "A" classes. Sounds like it was a good time for sure.

Chris Carr, lol that dude used to go with us racing all the time back around 2000 or so. We ran around with Mike Bias, Donny Edwards, and some of those guys. Raced all the same Ohio tracks that Skaggs, Browning, Dunaway, and the Whitcraft brothers ran. That kid was crazy as hell back then. How is he doing now?

Willy, like many privateers these days, participates in the Nat's that are within a day or so

driving distance.

Not too many REAL ( REAL !) privateers campaigning ALL the Nat's anymore.

I'm unsure of any his non-mx related activities, he was just another motocross

guy, having fun being around friends and motocross.

Ohio International Raceway is ran by former pro motocross racer Dave Hand. The Hands did a awesome job yesterday. Rup, sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you, but congrats to your son. Mad Mike was on a Kawasaki.

No Durham.

Brock hasn't been racing, he works as the Western Powersports rep for Northern Ohio.

(Mark Burkhart handles Southern Ohio...)

Michael Willard's girlfriend Tiff had her baby this weekend, so no #92.

Cruz Michael Willard 9 lbs 15 ounces.... All well...

Forgot to mention Vince Karnow, - he tore up vet, think he raced Pro, too.

Still hauls .....
