Its been said that Italy with host the 2021 Motocross Of Nations at a purpose built track in Imola.
No advantage to anyone as the track will be new.
The question is, which country will be able to field a stronger team than JH, GC and CV (Nederlands)?
The US has the riders but will they go?

I can't see it happening myself. If a few teams can't or won't go they'll be no point having it.
We r the stars of the show 🤥🤥
The Shop
Want some Chips with that salt.
Aussies team will be hard to pick barring injuries.
Lawrence Brothers, Jed Beaton, Mitch Evans, The Duffman, Luke Clout, Todd Waters.
Pffft may aswell send 2 teams and make it a Podium 1-2
Team Oranje is bound to be on podium if Hoff and Bullet are able to get on the bike.
Team France... hmm... Is FFM going to shoot itself in the foot again for a bunch of logos? Febvre, Vialle/Renaux/Benistant & Ferrandis/Musquin/Tixier/Paturel might work (circle your own team of choice). But what if it was the Paulin magic that made the dream come true?
Team USA is big unknown for me. Eli, Bam Bam and Justin Cooper?
Ben Watson looks solid (keeping Herlings on his toes in Lyng) so team UK can be fringe podium contender depends how will Conrad do in the season and if Ben stays healthy. Slap SS24 or the main banterologist #100 Tommy Searle and the damage can be done.
Team Germany is questionmark. Will KR94 want to represent? Laengenfelder looks really rapid if his fittness is there he might score some MX2 wins in the season no doubt. Is Henry Jacobi the new "Marcus Schiffer" for this team?
Team Switzerland. Their time is comming. Seewer and Tonus need to be kept in an hermetically insulated bubble and handled with upmost care & maybe Mike Gwerder can pull out the "Laengenfelder" of 2019.
Team Belgium. Well it can be defined by one word "non-condender". Sorry not sorry but you can't push van Horebeek and Strijbos in the dusk of their careers to be the main guys, That's where Lieber should have been if he wouldn't retire, followed by Desalle if he wouldn't retire... Geerts is awesome & Everts is... well still brewing.. but overall TOP5 would be miracle.
If i'm not mistaken Tanel Leok will not ride MXoN and that is sad.
And for the sake of a good fun i will put here the team CZE. Well if it will be in Imola on sand then we are fricked as frick man... If it is in Mantova we are also fricked but only half as much. Optimal Choice would be
MX1 - Kovář (his pre-season was weaker compared to previous years...)
MX2 - Polák/Terešák (again nothing extra to write home about but Petr polák had decent race this weekend so i would choose him if he is healthy)
OPEN - Krč/Neugebauer/Michek (Krč got long-term armpump issues so we will se about this season, Neugebauer will spend this season on 250 2smoker so idk how he would do in sand on 4fatty, Michek is slowly turning into Dakar-rally specialist but i would assume if he does well in the national championship he might be in the talks, depends on calendar colisions and injuries)
The goal of the team would be to not get injured and to qualify to the race because we hate sand - from the young age we wage wars against sandpaper, sandglass & sand-tracks.
This is the most stupid thing ever.
There’s no doubt that once upon a time, the USA were THE stars of the show, but it hasn’t been that way for awhile.
They’re still a main attraction, but there’s often been others more impressive for the last decade.
As for the organisers doing zero to help your team??? WTF narcissistic attitude is that?! Sorry the world doesn’t revolve around you. The US has more resources on hand then most. Meanwhile riders from small countries barely able to afford a spare spark plug, make their own way every year, just for the privilege to compete. And often that’s in the middle of their own domestic series, yet they do it anyway, and are happy to.
Time to put on your big girl panties and put up, or shut up.
NFG on dropping it in the middle of the MXGP season. The GP guys will be at the MXoN. No excuses anymore.
I don’t think anyone can beat the Netherlands at this point unless Coldenhoff or Herlings get hurt or don’t race it. The rest of the podium is up for grabs. France will really miss Paulin by the way.
I can’t wait and really hope it doesn’t get canceled.
Pit Row
Tomac is out, calling it right now. Changing bikes, Kawi would not support and Yami wants him here to prep the blue pig for SX.
I thought I saw here that that Marvin was going to naturalize so France wouldn't want him. Maybe that was what has kept him off Team France. France doesn't seem to want it's expats on their team but lets see how they do in the Nationals.
As far as other countries with smaller budgets continuing to compete, that’s their choice. It’s no hidden fact that budgeting has put a damper on things. The level that the US is expected to compete at is far different from that of smaller countries. Maybe if more countries stopped participating the promoters would be forced to help the smaller guys.
Plus I find more enjoyment watching TP199 and Ronnie Mack doin backflips on the parade lap and raising money for fundraisers
Anyway
