I went to the Youthstream site and noticed the MX3 class shares a few venues with MX 1 and 2. I know MX3 is not as highly regarded but have they downgraded it to an amateur support class like they were talking about doing last season?

There hasn`t been a single episode of Seinfeld shown on latvian TV. Are you playing smartass with me or you just plain ignorant?

Is this pretty much the current MXdN schedule through twenty-sixteen, or has something changed again?

2012 - Lommel, Belgium
2013 - Teutschenthal, Germany
2014 - Kegums, Latvia
2015 - St. Jean d’Angely,France
2016 - Maggiora, Italy

St Jean d'Angely again in 2015??

Wish they would hold one at Washougal, Southwick or Unadilla.

I was going by this press release...

2015 St. Jean MXdN Announcement

I know they've had an MXdN 'committed' to Glen Helen... that didn't materialize... committed to Thunder Valley for 2013, from Mr. Luongo's own mouth... as we see here: 2013 Thunder Valley MXdN Announcement .... and that didn't materialize.

I don't know what to believe with all these 'official' MXdN announcements. There's no track record that the location first announced, actually turn out to be the place, the last few years.

St Jean was obviously brought forward a few years from that anouncement in 08. I dont think they ever mentioned Thunder Valley for '13 though.

Sorry, Alex, not sure what you mean by 'brought forward'.

In '08 they announced St Jean for 2011 (which happened) and 2015, so the 2015 date wasn't brought forward, as they announced both years, at the same press conference. The 2013 Thunder Valley announcement was made they weekend of the 2010 MXdN, that was being held in Thunder Valley... so that race doesn't appear to have been 'brought forward' either, it looks like it was an announcement of the 2013 MXdN being in the USA, not necessarily Thunder Valley.

Is there actually a confirmed 2013 and 2015 location?

I don`t think location for 2015 is picked , yet. 2013 and 2014 are correct in that post.

Why should Youthstream ever bring the MXdN back to America again?, when their MXGP at Glen Helen was blatantly ignored by the majority of the US industry, fans & media for 2 years running.

The MXDN's in America made a ton of money for Youthstream so they'll be back. Byte GP in America should show these tracks why MXsports is needed because tracks suck at marketing/promoting.

The key word is relevance. The MXoN is much more relevant to the US than the GPs.

By the way, can you shut the fuck up on the USA hating until at least September? Way too early for this shit, limey.

Voodoo - The first time St Jean was mentioned it was pencilled in for 2015 but it was not confirmed. I hadnt seen that 08 press release though it did only say 'with the possibility of two MXoN' so not quite a confirmation. For some reason they always announce speculative dates before they're confirmed. Not sure for whos benefit this is, it does'nt do very much other than confuse people. Every year at the end of season they announce a 'provisional' callendar then 4 months later at end of January they announce the actual callendar and its usually diferent. Wonder why they need the provisional dates released at all. Bizarre. 2015 is still tba

1. Since no top U.S. racer who is racing the Nationals can win the GP title, and since the USGP was held before the beginning of the Nationals, it was not a winning situation for the U.S. riders. If they won, it was a "pride" thing. If they crashed and got injured, they would lose everything. Clement DeSalle has announced since he was injured riding a non-GP event that he will no longer run such events, correct?

2. It is unfortunate that the MXdN, which is a true "world" event, it controlled by an ultra-greedy Italian profit seeker rather than the FIM so that this kind of crap could be avoided. Youthstream is not worthy of the MXdN. If they are going to play these kinds of games, maybe the U.S. should just say, "No thank you."

I got that. Thanks, Alex.

I've wondered why they make their announcement, then announce another location, also... like their first one (or two) never happened. In the Thunder Valley video it sounds like he's saying the 2015 site is set. Maybe it's a sales game that Loungo plays to get the tracks to bid against each other, before really awarding it.

Totally understand your thinking, although Roczen and Osborne did exactly the opposite in racing SX which claims far more injuries, but then again injuries can happen anytime (Alessi/Desalle did single outdoor races too) Roczen was MX2 favourite too.Bailey,Ward,RJ,Lechein,Magoo,Windham etc and many more greats have all raced before, what's changed-Money ultimately has been the decider with guys now having personal sponsors outside the sport,I never saw any of the USA "Dream team" holding a can of pop to the camera on the podium, the podium speech was way diferrent back then too,the Factories no doubt paid their biggest wage, and would want them at the GP

2.I pretty much agree, again down to money, they put on a great show but it should be more about the sport

Times have changed for sure, but I'm pleased Maggiora is back and we get to see that awesome track again
