If you want to race MxoN you must qualify through your home country.

Put an end to it.

Could not agree more. Americans racing for Puerto Rico has always been stupid. Never more than this year.

I'm confused. USA is their home country. I'd be more inquisitive as to why Puerto Rico is allowed to field a team? Can we send a District of Columbia team too? Are they not American since it's not a state?

And I would so like Finland to send Team Åland!

All good points.

And this, imo, has a good chance of changing up the rules.

Myself, it might not be fair, but Territories just might have to settle on the glory of just getting one of their natural born on the USA team at all.
I mean, to get a guy on Rogers list, over the mainlander Americans, would be a monumental feat for let's say, The Virgin Islands.

Or, change it up to where the dual citizen stuff is out.

Or, get like Florida has become. Just having property there to skip State taxes, and enjoy immunity from judgements,
isn't enough anymore. Even the "6 and 1" thing, living there 6 months and a day, I hear isn't enough to be considered
as being a resident. They want you to register to vote there, do your banking there, have your primary doctor there,
your drivers license there, before you can say you're actually a resident, and enjoy the perks they offer,

Any of you understand that PR is an unincorporated territory of the United States?

The United States already has a team.

That’s the point, actually.

Unincorporated...

Territory...

Which allows them to still enjoy their own status as a country until they decide to become a “state”.

What exactly is your point and how does it pertain to the thread? PR is a county is your point? Puerto Ricans should race for PR or nobody at all.

'Qualify' - meaning what exactly? Do other countries need to 'qualify'?

yeah , you need to qualify for the A-final

last year there were 126 riders of 42 countries on that list ...

as there are 2 riders racing at the same time with a 40 riders gate you need to qualify and top 20 make a-final

Could Canada theoretically send 12 riders then?

Quick question. Does someone that's actually in Puerto Rico approve the team members? It would seem kind of disrespectful for someone to just declare themselves to be a representative of a country without permission. Sorry if this has been answered in another post. I don't have time to read them all. Thanks.

Nothing against Pastrana or the other guy's , All I'm saying is the Main land Americans racing for Puerto Rico is just a loop hole that should be closed.

They would be better off allowing multiple Teams to Countries or Continents based on Population.

I would hope they got approved by the PR Federation prior to announcing it.

Yes but I don't think that has anything to do with OP.
It was talking about qualifying to race the Nations. So if you're qualifying to make the A races then your already there and racing the Nations, even if you end up in the B race on Sunday.

I worded that wrong

by Qualify, I mean be chosen for your Countries Team.

If you ride for the States, you should live in the States.

You got me. I'm sobbing over here. Had to take the whole week off of work. If only I were as tough as you.

And by Taffel of course. Bikes looking like cruise ships, riders dressed as potatoe chips. Smile

So this automatically excludes any U.S. born rider who decides to race the GP's? Even if they're dominating?
