I recall D saying it and a bunch of people poo-poo'n it. "Oh no, the weather will change 10 times in the next few months, it'll be fine..."

It’s weather. Charles Darwin is the only one who can control it!

its hard to mx spring and fall here in michigan and this is why most michigan riders are excellent mud guys. back in the day our spring series for silverdome paid contingency money...so everyone raced rain or shine. made for some spectacular mud racing. no one worried about their bikes being crap after because you could make enough money to buy a new bike. lol.

Maybe I’m just optimistic...but seems to be some major over reacting off what I’m seeing. A few showers Friday (track watering). Nothing Saturday, and probably some rain Sunday. Doesn’t sound like Unadilla 87 or Foxhill 98 to me.

...... Not a cheap trip. Rain could really blow my buzz, if it floods out the track ! I don’t mind a little rain off and on, but a lengthy down pour on race day will straight piss me off Evil

My phone is only showing Thursday rain, guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens. I’ll be prepared for rain just in case

Weather.com is saying 40-50% chance of thunderstorms on Saturday and Sunday. It's not like it will be a slow steady rain. Probably hit and miss throughout the weekend. Probably won't be a full blown mudder, but could definitely get some rain. The US riders are good riders in mud either way.

Someone said it won't be like a Foxhill 98' and they're right as it's a chalk base and gets particularly greasy when wet.

Having said that just pulled up a video of some Red Bud mud race with a lot of surface water. What kind of soil is it there?

Should’ve had it at Glen Helen. Everywhere else is too unpredictable.

Yr.no. Most trustable forecast site.

Redbud seems to have more and more sand every year. Regardless of the weather it will be the best race all year.

Welcome to Michigan - outside of our 3 month summer.

This is me on my way to race today. Saddle up Nancy’s.

It’s a little early but ...... Let’s hope the west coast hurricane Rosa whos rain fall is expected to affect SoCal, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Colorado and the weather channel just mentioned Michigan for Thursday!

Michigan in October... what do you expect? It is the MXdN and will be awesome no matter what! I have no regrets about Unadilla in 87, great experience. Edit- it is a myth that Euro riders are magically better in the mud too, not like they ride swamps thru the season.

Red Bud was hard pack two decades ago but since then they have brought in so much sand that it is a completely different surface. It can take a lot of water now.

This the "desNations" man! Embrace it either way. 87 at Unadilla was epic!

Not so much during the MXGP season but most Euros will neccesarily have a lot of local mud riding experience.

That was the thought too in 87, should have been Euro domination. Not to say the same thing will happen, but the US has very capable mud riders this year.
