Just wondering what the general thoughts would be from this Male dominated audience about MXoN adding women into the event.
So a fourth rider female, they ride their own races, one Saturday one Sundays.
Just a thought..
I personally think its a idea that could work, and because NZ has the FWOTP. Haha

I'm assuming you mean a women's class. Not women mixed in with the men. I think a women's class on 250s only would be worth watching.

Sorry yes, exactly what I mean. The women in their own class on 250 or 125 what ever yhey prefer. 👍

It's a pretty complex program to run in a weekend already... But I do admit that 2 motos of women on 125's running between the other 3 moto's would be awesome.

The question for me is how many of the countries that participate in MXoN actually have women racing that could show up and race?

Good luck with working the scoring out during the last moto.

While I agree it could be a mess... But if they kept the women scoring simple, like an auto drop and only keep their best single score from either moto and the rest was traditional MXoN scoring, it would be easy.

I’d like to see a 125 class rider mixed in somehow on every team. That would be awesome, IMO! I think there may be a few women that can get in on their own merit rather than just forcing the issue for every country to try to mine for a strong female rider. A 125 class may be a solid opening for some fast ladies to make the cut.

Women are not ruled out of the teams. They just need to be faster.
Why not adding overweighted, veterans, refugees, etc.

Man, we just want to watch motocross. Give us a break and get some Marvel movies.

The current format is really cool to watch and make the maths already complicated enough Wink

I wish it could happen but realistically that would be way too dangerous, the lap times difference is still huge.

A separate class would not draw much attention either, and if mixed the girls would need to score at least 1 point in ama 250/450 or mx2/mxgp to make sure everybody is safe and they don't get landed on ... So basically only 1 to 3 girls may not be a hazard on the track against the very best riders of both ponds. What could be cool however is if Duncan was picked, because i think she is the only one currently that could possibly be mixed.

because the format worked with 4 riders in one race, the current format works with 3 riders, and the split motos,

as a seperate meeting maybe, with 2 riders, 2 motos, 20 riders in the final if more than 20 turn up,

I have often thought it would be good to include a kids race, say 2 riders from each country on 80s, would be an amazing experience for them and love watching the fast ones scream those bees around a proper track

You mean MXoEN?

- 2 guys on 85ccm from each country racing 2 heats
- 1 guy on 125 + 1 guy on 250 from each country racing together 2 heats
- single worst result scratches

Do you guys even MXoN?

I'm not sure if some countries would have fast enough women, or a budget to send them...

Some people lack ...

But to be fair both those events are made by FIM-Europe. If there would be will from team USA to go i am sure FIM-Europe would make it into open-european championship. It is not that long time ago when even guys from South Africa, Zimbabwe or NZ raced EMX2 class.
