But ET was impressive in Germany the year after, and in Kegums 2014, that's for sure ! As for Waters, of course it's easier for him to do outdoors, you guys explain us after every MXdN that US riders hardly ride MX, they're SX riders just doing a bit of motocross on the side.
Seriously, the depth of the field may be a bit weaker in US, i would say. Especially because so many guys are sitting at home after being beat up in SX. Tops guys are pretty equal.
Lastly, i'm one of the few guys on this forum who actually met and speak several times with Geoff, and he's a good guy. But you don't have to believe me, anyway.

This is priceless!

Writing shit like this: "Waters, who raced in Europe in 2014 and 2015 in the very tough MXGP, will head to the somewhat easier AMA Motocross series with hopes of being able to duplicate the performance by fellow Aussie Dean Ferris, who finished with a second place finish in a moto this year, when he made a one off ride in USA."

It should be illegal. But it will be easier for Waters indeed because he can earn some money from Honda and from MXSports. Both wouldn't happen in Europe.

MXGP is tough and it really should be the tougher series .... After all it is the World Championship. But the fact the AMA series has stood shoulder to shoulder with the GPs and at times exceeded it shows what a great series it is . At the moment the GPs have the upper hand but the pendulum will eventually swing the other way .

Let's take the top 10 riders in the AMA series (SX/MX)
The top 10 in MXGP and have a two race series.
One Supercross race in the states, One GP race in France?
Count the two series points to determine the overall rider.
So we can put this who's better then who to bed.

There will be no GP riders in the top 10 in the SX race lol.

serious dude ?? LaughingLaughingLaughing make it 10 mx races in USA and 10 in Europe , SX is a US only thing and yeah the series is by far the best ... good for you , sad part might be , that the winner could be a former MXGP rider sp makes the circle round again

next years MXON is in USA , maybe time to cheer and get rid of that butthurt

I don't think anyone in their right mind would say the GP guys or their series is inferior , and same could be said about the AMA series. In this past year , we have seen the GP guys do very well against the AMA series guys.

Lets call a spade a spade here.....the AMA guys have been on top for the most part going on 30 years. It slowly swung towards the GP guys I think over the past few years. Huge fucking respect for guys like AC , Herlings , TG , Febvre and so forth.....they have upped the annie in the speed dept in outdoors.

With that said , being an American , following the AMA series and supporting it , it makes me a little bummed that we are shifting most of the attention to SX.

As far as Todd Water's goes....I would not doubt for a second that he could be a regular top 7th - 12th guy here on good equipment. Christ....look how well Ferris did at that one race!

"SX is a US only thing" indeed that is why Musquin, Ferrandis, Roczen and many others moved to the US to make the money only Supercross can deliver. To race before 30 to 60k people, something only the sport of supercross is able to and not motocross.

And nobody will give a damn about the level of motocross, is it better, is it equal or they becoming worse then the MXGP riders... Nobody in the US really gives a damn because motocross isn't that important. That is because you won't find a MLB fan at a motocross race, but that same dude maybe goes to supercross just because he can go for free or very cheap because he has already a season ticket at the stadium. And fans from outside the sport who are possible new fans are important.

Oh and also getting your product/sponsors under the attention of +30k in the stadium and about 800k-1milion viewers on FOX Sports is more important then getting the attention of 10k people at the race.

I can’t believe people still get triggered over stuff Geoff writes. No need to bring the AMA vs GP’s shit here on purpose.

That should be common knowledge for any MX fan. It's not that long ago.
