I think there is only 1 EMX250 group?

Edit: I was wrong there are 2.

Charboneu 29th, Sihvonen 30th.

LCQ for two of the favorites with very bad gate picks.

That is so weird because he comes from USA were they race sprints as amateurs. I would think that putting down one fast lap shouldn't be a problem for him.

How does a rider who has a top 5 in ama outdoors not qualify straight through in emx? Lack of effort?

I have no idea, it's crazy.

But he was really good in the end of last season, finished 5th in points. Everyone that beat him is in MX2 now so he is on paper the favorite.

Dunn jumps to 10th... thats a great lap... Kellet and Carpenter struggling ... Van Der Vlist at the bottom, looks like he went out on his first lap

This is such a crazy class, no shame in that considering that he is probably the youngest rider out there and it is his first race.

Gilbert, Sabulis,Lawrence and Kellet all miss the cut.

Be interesting to see the times compared to MX2 .

I see 6 guys capeable of winning the LCQ .. and only 4 spots.

just spoke to Tristan Charboneau.... he tore his meniscus a short while ago, but wanted to come here and give it a shot.... obviously it wasn't good enough, so now he's going to try and get surgery asap

as for Jett Lawrence's bike.... i was told that he is using Bas Vaessen's stuff from last year, so it should be pretty decent, however like someone said, he is extremely young and all they are really aiming for is to qualify and get some experience

EDIT: pretty sure Jett is 14, so he's going up against guys a LOT older than him

That makes sense ..shame for him... and Vaessens bikes were good last year, so it should be good enough this year.

confirmed... Jett is 14 (15 in August)... also spoke to him and he said he recently got some new suspension and didn't quite have it setup right for the session, but he's gonna go out and try and holeshot the LCQ and see what happens from there

Looking forward to some action on livestream later today! That track looks so damn awesome from that Prado Helmet cam video!

Knew he was young, but not that young. Will be good if he makes the cut in the LCQ , but no shame it not making it.

Fair to say a 5th in the LCQ will be faster than 5 guys in MX2

This is why guys buy an MX2 ride , because they might not even get noticed in EMX250. .

Then people question me when I say how did Zach Pichon get a ride in MX2.

Just a comparison, Josh Gilbert, as first non qualifier in EMX250 group 2 in 19th , did a 1.53.4 which would have put him 29th in MX2, but remember EMX session is a timed session to make the race , whereas MX2 is free and counts for nothing .

Martin Barr who was fastest , would have been in the top 15 .

EMX250 is just ridiculously stacked.

Renaux had 14-16 scores last week in MX2 at Valkenswaard, now 9th in his qualifying group. Michelsen 24-20 at Valkenswaard and now 29th in his group. Crazy. LCQ on the gate now, some solid guys there too.

Sihvonen wont make it.

He has had a horrible few months with injuries and only 2 weeks on the bike but i expected that he would make the motos.
3/24/2018 5:12am
Sihvonen with his usual crappy start probably not gonna make it. He’s on pace with the leaders in traffic but probably too far back.
3/24/2018 5:15am
From Lugana in 4th with the last qualifying spot to Sihvonen in 12th only 8 seconds separating. Why can’t we get this on mxgptv?

92 riders trying to qualify for the 40 spots in EMX250.Woohoo

I could see during the studio show Jett Lawrence in 8th in the LCQ. I'm surprised a 14 year old is in that class. I somehow thought he'd be limited to the EMX125s.

Best thing is, the World's Most Stylish Rider - Ken DeDycker is filling in for Jordi Tixier on the BOS bike.Cool
