Jasikonis has been sent back to Belgium, so a no-show for him. Sad.

I have a hard time believing that Suzuki fucked this up. Everyone else got through just fine so it must have been the Qatar government or something who came up with something surprising last minute.

Btw are you the same "Finne" who plays MXS? Wink

Yeah but i feel like all the team should know that things like this might happen, and they should solve it before 2 days before the race!

Yes i am! Laughing

Im guessing it was something that came up when trying to enter the country. Arabic countries can be problematic with these things sometimes.

Cool! I thought I´d recognize that name Tongue

Looks like Jonass actually got a concussion few weeks ago at a pre-season race in France, but he's good to go this weekend. He better not crash to much this year if he wants a legit shot at the mx2 title!

Yes, coach Roberts Justs and a mechanic, both Latvians. Jasikonis is Lithuanian. Tonkov is Russian and had problems entering the Brit GP a few years back, as did Bobryshev. Is it because these are old Soviet-states that visa can give problems? Seems pretty odd to me that it always occurs with Eastern / North-Eastern European countries.

I'm excited for sure but wish it was somewhere else other than Qatar... Really looking forward to Argentina!

I thought that it's impossible to get concussions if you wear that brand of helmet! According to his trainer Wink

It seems like Lieber is the only one that pushes the pace. 1.44 and 5 seconds faster than Bernardini in 2nd.

Edit: Sterry 1.48

Can't really look to much into a free practice session, but it looks like this class is gonna be wide open so far! Top 17 all within 2 second range.

32 MX2 riders in Qatar is a big number, that is a positive sign.

Great to see Lieber back. Jonass confirming his undoubted speed there.

So much depth in MX2 this year. Great to see so many fast kids coming through.

I like this last answer to some questions put to Everts about GPs, and the current fastest rider - Herlings is who he is referring to:

Everts : Pfffff, he is definitely the fastest, but it isn’t always the fastest who wins or who is the best. You need to bring it to the line in one piece and I don’t think it’s his rivals who are the big danger, but himself. He is his biggest rival.

Everts answers about comparing eras of racing are great too.

Those are some close lap times in MX2. Should be some awesome racing today. Hopefully Covington makes a huge jump this year and consistently fights for wins.

Kawasaki 1 and 2. Desalle more than a second faster as Tixier for now.

Edit: never mind, Bobby proves this track suits him.
