x2! Allready big fan of him. He was the top rookie yesterday in qualifying. Him and Sanayei are definitely 2 kids comming out of the EMX series that i expect to do really good this year!

I'm very curious what herlings does today. I think it was weird that the fastest laptimes were set in free practise en he was only 1 sec slower than cairoli en rode 12 laps. Then in time practise he had more a hard time and in qualifying race it was nothing. Except jake nichols the slowest laptime. Maybe he better rode less laps in both practises so he could do better in the races?

If Cairoli was that close on a track like Qatar, in qualifying, I think the pack should be very worried.

The GP's will now use a Metal Mesh behind the start gate for all of 2017. I am honestly more oldschool and would still prefer normal rutted sand..

1 more hour before the riders hit the track today for the free practice session! (15 mins session)

It seems it surprisingly rained a lot there during the week. Usually the track is hard and doesn't evolve much. Plus they added sand to make it a little softer this year. This plus the rain make the track gets slower over the day as it gets rutted a lot more. I think he doesn't want to screw his season on a bad decision and the more the track gets destroyed the more he must feel his hand and be careful. He just needs points, nothing to prove or gain there. It's not the same as against Tixier for the tittle, he has to play it smart there.

Maybe he's got a trick up his sleeve, maybe he rides around in agonizing pain and finishes 14th.

The season is so long(19 rounds). I think Herlings can afford to get 10th-15th in these first races.

10th - 15th is a place that anyone with an injury niggle etc could easily end up as the field iservice extremely deep.

MX2 out on track for warm up session. Any of you Aussies got some background on Jay Wilson ? Never really heard of him before.

There's also Caleb Ward who's racing, but he didn't appear to ride warm up.

Good thing Lawrence never raced MX2 in Australia, he's clearly on another level

Don't count on Hunter. He has a bit of a streak in him.
