Must have been worse than originally thought? When did his injury occur? Seems like it has been months now.

Over 90 entries for the 125 class - and that's the norm.

I really hope DC and Co can 'up' the US 125 class from the exhibition class it still is, next year. He / they are going the right way with , I think, a fair few races this year. I truly hope he / they can ignore any manufactures not wanting it to become a full, National series.

Hell, let the 125 class have a one year works bike clause (again) - I'd love to see an "All Four Stroke, All The Time" type of manufacturer turn up with a 20K + Revs, 30 something millimeter stroke Screamer, to back up their belief that 4 Strokes are the bestest / only thing for ICE racing...........WoohooWhistling

An injury like Herlings usually means you are out 4-6 months. Brian Bogers did something similar last year and he was gone for an eternity. He suffered setbacks and had to go through surgery twice, so I understand they are careful with Herlings. He will be back in june perhaps is everything goes well I read on mxlarge.

In hindsight maybe Herlings would have been better off in the Nationals. Mellow tracks, less seat time with one day events and dial it back just enough to win. He’s really not serving any real purpose other than sponsor contract obligations and also being in his usual environment and the drive to beat the extreme talent in the GPs could lead to over riding and tragic get offs, just thinkin

Tixier will be back for the french GP. Maybe a week prior in Agueda if everything goes well.

Febvre wants to be in St Jean d Angely too. But nothing sure yet.

Oh my!! The slightest possible thought of seeing full-bore, full-fat, full-on, open regulation frikkin works 125’s.
Imagine Lechien’s ‘84 RC125 with another 35 years of development.Wow!

No weight limit? Fuel injection and full electronics? Active suspension? Seamless shift?

They would be awesome...never gonna happen.

If he's not healed enough and back to full force for Lombardia on the 12th, he wouldn't be ready for the 18th in the US, and the subsequent rounds.

It's good to see he (and his team) may have finally learnt to not go straight back into battle, not fully healed, and not fully prepped.

I've often put this forward in a variety of Moto sites.

I do it fairly facetiously - the concept of an "All Fourstroke, All The Time" manufacturer (Honda, basically) having the 'ball's to not hide behind capacity advantages, and go up against 2ts at the same capacity really is pretty unlikely.

I'm firmly of the belief that there is absolutely no need for anything but capacity equivilancy now in the 250 class and 450s, but also know that the smaller you go in the capacity range, the more exotic ( and, basically, completely unaffordable for any but Factory level utilisation) , expensive and maintenance heavy a 125 4t would be. And, it would go against the concept of the EMX125 series - in that it is meant to be a ( relatively) affordable series.

But, as I wrote, the sight and Sound of a 20,000 + rpm 4t out there on the track would be phenomenal. It would take a wildly talented rider to ring something like that out. People think that tap dancing on a 125 2ts gear lever is 'involving', well, the frantic nature of tiddler racing would be even more magnified with a Works 125 4 Stroke.

But, as you said : Never gonna happen.

I think that turnout for the EMX125 class is more impressive than watching the MXGP guys...

Going to see if TG243 is going to really be a threat for TC. I think he is...

If he was going to show up.. not gonna happen.

He wouldn't put his right foot so high in the air taking a right corner , on the first time he was back on the bike.

Really?? 4 to 6 months? Last interview with that annoying women from mxgptv he told his talus was broken. Never sa a picture of the broken talus from him.

Had a schredded tales and broken tibia 8 months ago. Took almost 7 months to heal the fractures and still have a long road to go.

The problem with a broken talus is that it can heal but if you start to walk again it can break again or that it will never heal and you will loose your foot.
Words from the surgeon that thankfully did the job right.. the future will tell if i will walk normal but i can never play soccer any more..

4 to 6 months ow man i wish it was true.

Just something I heard from an interview with Coldenhoff, where he commented the bad luck and similar injuries his fellow dutch riders had suffered (bogers and herlings) he said it was a tricky injury and it would take a long time to heal compared to a fracture somewhere else. Good luck with your injury
