The question is if Jasikonis former potential/upside is still achieveable after his injuries. But he was winning races in MXGP. If based on his medical stats that should still be possible i'm looking at Jasikonis as my nr 2 rider if i'm a factory team manager.

I'm pretty sure his contract is up. I'm not sure what he is going to do (that's why i put 'i would think' in the previous post ;-) ) but i hear at the local tracks i hear a lot of talk about him going to husqvarna.
Could be a good fit for him. How old is RDVM?
IMO he has the potencial to be world champion if he put all the pieces together.

Next year Kay de wolf is going to be a rider to watch. So fun to watch with his loose style.

F&H should watch some EMX250 guys to bring on board. Guillem Farres definitely would be on my list. + he is a hard working friendly kid too

He is going to race in mx2 this weekend.
Maybe he isnt fully fit because he sufered a finger injury in a trafic accident but like you said he is a hard working. Hope he turn out well.

Interesting move for F&H. I would prefer having 2 good riders in Mx2 and go for a GP win over getting an occasional top 10 in MXGP. But then again i'm not team manager :-)

Hopefully he will take it easy when he comes back next year, start with EMX Open instead of jumping in the deep MXGP class.

Racing GPs all the way back in 2018. Took 2019 off to heal and comeback in 2020 but got injured before returning. Still on the recovery side from that crash.

Edit: rode the first 7 GPs out off 18 in 2019.

Like i set above, I hope he plays it smart and takes it easy first. To comeback after 2 big injury’s back to back and jump straight into the MXGP after 3 years no GPs under you’re belt is no joke and not the best thing to do IMO.

That couldn't have been a surprise to the Honda 114 managers, he has shown nothing in EMX125 last season neither. To make the step from 125s directly to MX2 without results... Everyone knows what that means.

He did do a year in Emx250 in 2020 on a par Homes Husqvarna, a best finish of 11th in Latvia, think I remember reading he had a 2 year contract with Honda the possibility of a 3rd year to give him time to progress.

The team I’m sure knew that it was probably a bit early for him to step into MX2, they signed him as a prospect who could develop for a year or so. It's weird how that works for some not having to bring cash and others having to bring cash.
I spoke with a current MX2 rider who has finished in the top 15 this year and he has multiple offers for 2022 but all require him to bring cash. As in 25k to 50k or more & having to arrange your own practice bikes etc.
