MXGP Breaking News (Matterley and Coronavirus)

Edited Date/Time 2/27/2020 11:43am
Due to Coronavirus, it seems that Great Britain refuse to let any team and riders coming from Italy enter the country. A lot of riders that were training in Italy the last few days might get out of season opener before even entering it...

or that there is any problems at any of those borders whatsoever

It's a shame drop-bear is clicked, he had his finger on the pulse of the Coronavirus and would know exactly what's going on in regards to travel arrangements between Italy and the UK.

It might be good to get the red plate this first round as this virus is probably gonna screw with things big time this year. I can see rounds being cancelled due to travel restrictions to/from some countries not to mention people getting ill from it.

Not sure how that'd change much of anything when you're gathering folks from around the world.

Yesterday I spoke with our local specialist and he talks about mortality figures from around 0,34 to 0,50% (this from the people who gets the decease). That is about the same as flue. Even if the mortality figures will be around 1,50% to 2% it will be less dangerous then every day hazards. Because first you need to get sick at the moment that chance is slim because 0.001% (80149) of the world population had/has Coronavirus, and only the very small percentages of 0.00003% (2624) of the world population has died from that decease, where from 36 outside China.

A lot of people don't get sick or get diagnosed with the flu because they did not have been in Asia and got the infection indirect from someone who's been in Asia or a place where they have Corona.

Look for example to Cholera in Jemen - 50k people getting sick every week at the outbreak. That is still something different. Corona has 80k in 6 weeks?

By the way when a world specialist, working for the University of Leuven (A top 10 in the world university) informs me and others on social media then I believe him.
