Interviewer: "So, who is your favourite for the first MX2 race?"

RV: "Eeeerrrrr, you know I don't really know. I don't really pay attention to who is the fastest over here so now that Im here I'll be able to tell who the best guys are"

No but you would think a motocross rider/fan would have a pretty good handle on what goes on in the sport. Even if your focus is primarily in America. It says quite a lot about the difference in awareness between Americans and everyone else really.

You would think he would remember Herlings at least...

He should know the top guys at least for sure. I wonder if most people were trying to figure out who that was on the parade lap.

Considering its Belgium, there is not a lot of elevation changes on the track.

Crossup,Belgium is indeed pretty flat, but not in the Bastogne area...It's actually really hard to find a flat spot in that area Smile

I've been to Houfalize and there seemed to be a lot of elevation there and that is like 10 miles away.

it's great to have RV here, the fans were obviously very happy to see him do a lap of honour.

Great race right now, can Tommy close back up? Sad

Help?
6/17/2012 3:47am
Not making excuses but I wonder if Tommy tweaked his knee when he lost his leg earlier in the race. It was about then he lost all his time. We'll see post race interviews I guess.

thought the track looked great! lots of lines, looked nice and rough- mx1 should be great, pourcel and desalle will be very fast on this track!

regarding RV's comments- hopefully this weekend will be a bit of an eye opener for him, as previously mentioned though, you would have thought he'd at least recognise searle (even if only from his time in america) and herlings (after he beat him at the des nations last year) - wonder if he will recognise cairoli and pourcel?! lol

mx1 prediction:-

pourcel
desalle
paulin
cairoli
seb pourcel

- looks pretty hardpack/ rough, pourcel is the man when it comes to finding smooth lines to carry momentum
