If you were on current high end pc with ultra wide 4K monitor you would have a completely different experience. Run a I9 with 2080ti+ graphics card and ultra wide monitor and your peripheral vision is life like. If your a console only player with a non ultra wide monitor I can only imagine how bad your experience is. Sucks to you then. It’s not the games fault you cant run 1st person. It’s the same with all games. Your loss.
I have a life. Also we’re talking about a console game here bud…that you were defending…then you go into a whole thing about PC’s? Lol cool you spent all that money to watch pornhub and play arcade moto games.

I feel that Milestone have maybe committed to a bit too much for a studio of their size. They have deals with MXGP, SX and MotoGP to release official video games every year, plus they have now released 4 Ride games. It’s a lot. The MotoGP games are very good, but I feel the amount of stuff they’re doing perhaps stops them from improving their games as much as they maybe could with a smaller workload

Anyone seen any thing on this yet? Still listed as coming soon on steam, usually there’s a pre order button but nothing yet?

Not sure what you guys are complaining about, physics-wise. Looks accurate to me. Tongue

I’m off today, been playing all morning.

MXGP 2021 and MXGP 2020 are so close it’s not worth the money. Track editor is the exact same, most customizable stuff is the exact same, obviously most the tracks are exact same. BUT gasgas does come with an exhaust pipe this time. The follow camera appears to do some dumb tilt shit when you move around with is the worst thing ever but idk man, try it out for yourselves if you want. I just figured I’d get on here before you guys stay up till midnight like me just to play 98% the exact same game

track editor was the only thing that kept me interested in 2020, if they don't offer new maps for 21, I'm out

I should post the picture of the tears coming out of my face when I said the copy and pasted track editor. It’s 99% of the reason why I wanted this game was some new stuff to build

I’m only 5 rounds iron the 250 and so far I’m digging the changes. The 2 new tracks (maggoria, and oss) are awesome, the changes to orlynk? are good as well, locket has new berms.
They do race most of the same tracks every year so I’m not sure what people are expecting ?

I think people are expecting positive revisions to the physics, maybe a return to mxgp 3 physics. I know terrain deformation is a big point for most fans of the game. Mxgp pro was a mistake, the excessive drifting in corners, and anything after pro is just not it. Goofy rider animations too, like somehow it got worse?

id be fine with a year by year rehash if I didn't have to wear the same gear that was in MXGP3.

The game could be cool without major updates, just give the people something

Make credits easier to get, I shouldn't be able to win a championship, and then not be able to afford my own bike the next year
Update gear
Update bike graphics
update the damn jersey font for name/number
update track editor (they should have a few pre-made maps, and then a few of the GPs maps that you can design your own layout for)

The longer I play the more I notice the positive changes to career tracks. But I take back everything I said, THEY GAVE US BETA 450’S!!

Game plays awesome. The track selection would be absolute trash in terms of numbers if they didn't give us some legacy tracks but that's mostly covids fault. The tracks in the game are awesome, I just wish there were more!

Physics wise it feels looser and more playful than other games and the in air physics are getting better. The constant complaints of "pushing a button" to scrub are really dumb in my opinion. It's an intuitive movement with the thumb sticks that make sense. You can do some nasty scrubs in this game, as well as pretty decent whips. Hardest part is bringing them back in first person view (my preferred camera). The wobble landing a but sideways could be toned down a touch maybe, but it makes the learning curve exciting.

I agree with everyone wanting mxgp3 ruts and grip in corners. That game just feels right on the ground. In air is way better in 2021 than mxgp3 though and the game is undeniably pretty.

My biggest gripe is why do they not update the bloody bikes. As a kawi rider on a new 250x I don't want to ride a 2020 kx250. Why is this not the current model? The same goes for the gear. 4-5 year old copy and paste gear options are absolute bs. They already model the new thor gear (AC222) new fox for tiga, etc etc, how hard can it be to apply different colors to these already rendered sets and allow players to feel like they are modern? Huge miss that has been an issue forever in these games.
All that said, enjoying the gameplay and thankful that milestone gives us racing games, mx vs atv has been absolute garbage since reflex/alive. I just wish milestone would give us a bit more value for our dollar when it is essentially dlc each year.

8/10 for me as far as fun/graphics/gameplay.

They’re not though. It’s nothing like riding in real life. You can literally only see down and directly what’s in front of you. First person should give me a better view of what’s ahead of me. Third person you can actually see the track and what your bike is doing. With that said, I bought the latest iteration of mxgp and it was right about as shitty as mx vs atv, no matter what view you play in. The sim dudes are annoying but they’re not wrong. Those games are much better. But if you’re into arcade physics and an online lobby that just can’t be figured out I guess, these are your types of games.

I’m enjoying the new game so far although I must say that the changes since the last game are not worth the £40. Milestone need to have a rethink in my opinion, put more focus on quality over quantity. We don’t need a game every year, especially when the game that comes out it hardly any different to the previous version. They have the ability to make a very good, very enjoyable game, but they’re doing so much right now that they don’t really have the time to put the care and attention into it that each game deserves.

I tend to be a bit more forgiving to their MXGP series but after watching the windham review and a lot of gameplay vids I think I'm probably done with their games until some major changes happen.

Still mostly terrible pit-bike scaling for the tracks, lack of roughness and no real terrain deformation, stiff rider movement (particularly in the upper body) etc etc. Some tracks they always do well e.g Trentino, others they always get wrong e.g Lommel. If your physics engine can't support real time deformation then just build the track with pre-made ruts and bumps everywhere ffs...

Last few months I actually went back to MX vs ATV All Out and, as someone who just plays offline, the AI is actually really good if you just don't upgrade your bike... Will be interesting to see what MX vs ATV Legends is like.

I really liked, and played a lot of, 2019. I was extremely disappointed with 2020, and played a few hours, at most. 2021 is what 2020 should have been on release day. No game breaking slowdowns, no AI sitting still on the track, etc. So having mostly skipped the 2020 version of the game, I am really liking 2021. The Ai is better at spreading out and putting on a charge late in the moto. I am not super fast at the game, but there have been several motos where I have a comfortable lead and then on the final two laps I am being challenged. I started taking notice of best lap times in the first moto, and noticed the AI gets faster in the second moto, closer to the lap times I am running. Coincidence or programmed into the game, I have no idea, but it is making the experience better. I also like how rough they have made the tracks. For example, at Matterly Basin they added braking bumps before several turns that mess up your rythym coming into a corner. On several tracks though the signage is placed to close to the exit of a turn. For example, if you take the inside line on the third turn at Matterly you almost clip the sign on the inside. There is one in the Netherlands that is similar. Overall I am really happy with the game, and should be playing it for awhile. I hope they add some tracks, or new terrain for the editor.

I emailed the milestone team and they replied. If you go into your Xbox settings and switch the language preference to english UK (mine was set to canadian) it should change back to English. They said it appears to be a glitch that they will hopefully patch out.

Man Windham really nailed Milestone on the review for this game. From a content creator who looks at the positive side of everything this just truly shows how much frustration the MX gaming community has with developers.

I’m skipping this one and have skipped the last few as well. I even considered buying this just to get a few hours of fun out of it, but I can’t deal with the credit grind.

So this game is finally at a price that reflect it's quality... £7. So I picked it up and amongst all the annoying bugs (and there a lot of bugs), this one stands out the most. Anyone else have this issue? Does anyone even play this game any more?
