MXDN 2017 Matterley Basin...

This year i am planning a big party in the camp ground and would love to meet some of you guy's! so i know it's a little early but i just wanna see who is thinking of coming etc.

Personally i will do the same as Donnington 2008 and bring out the decks and speakers under the awning and throw one hell of a shin dig. Back in 2008 we had like 400 people gathered around from all walks of life and countries partying. We had the pro photographers there taking pics of the party and the security became bouncers for it lol. I'll try find the pics

Decks, speakers...proper set up. I'll be there with a few mates and plenty of beers. Fingers crossed for some decent weather.

I'll be there pretty sure too.

BTW, which international airport would be best to fly to and drive to the track?

Thanks Phil!

We'll be flying from one of the south german airports like Stuttgart, Munich, Friedrichshafen or Karlsruhe.

Driving from Detroit area to Toronto, then flying into Heathrow. That was by far the cheapest for us.

i use Ryanair to fly in to Nuremberg out of Stansted, its not the nearest, but i reckon 2hr drive tops and its cheap.

You wont get out of track and back to airport sunday night,,

Nothing friday , but its worth being at the track to see what you want in the pits etc.. saturday and sunday its rammed, and you wont get near anything. Practice, and 3 qualifying races saturday, warm up and 3 races Sunday

Gatwick ain't too far away..... you might even be able to fly into Southampton from Europe, but don't plan on flying back Sunday night unless its a LATE flight

I plan on being there also. It would be rude not to when it's so close to home.

I might do it this year with my brother. Only a 4 hour drive so for sure something to consider Cool

As others have said, don't plan on flying out sunday unless you leave mid-way through the racing. Gatwick and Heathrow are the two closest big airports, Stanstead isn't to far either.

I was thinking of staying in London because I want to make like a week of this trip, 26 years old I figured it'd be fun to trek around there for a few days and get into trouble. But for staying closer to the track the night or 2 before the race, any suggestions?

Since I don't have a race to work at Glen Helen I am thinking of making it to Farleigh Castle the weekend before and MXoN the next. Maybe even ride.
