Right!! Hopefully these aftermarket companies make them quite a bit shorter. The yosh one on the JGR bike is just as long as the stock one.

I love how this "First Ride" amounts to...
" seems great, but only if it's great in SoCal"
BTW, east guys have better dirt/different bike

yup, perhaps they could make it shorter by making it more oval....it will be interesting to see what they can do

Im wondering if they could move the muffler part in an inch or too. So keep the same size can and volume just take an inch if tube out. Basically how the CRF450 has them tucked in so that the muffler is narrower where it attaches to the pipe but larger at the exhaust tip/end.

Now I see a reason for twin pipes. Shorter mufflers!

Please clarify......having one and being one are two different compliments.

Racer X has a 1st impression up as well. Miller was ripping on the new 450.

yes well thats one of the benefits on the Honda, shorter pipes and therefore more out of the way if you have a big crash

He looked good on the Yellow bike. Wonder if he signed a new contract while he was there.

Nevertheless this was one of the worst ride reports I ever read or watched.

Yep, and I'm hoping ml512 can kick his ass anytime, all the time. Smile

*Update* ML's 450 was finally removed and all dirt/mud was removed after a long weekend. Only things lost were time, ego and a set of front wheel bearings...

Don't know why they didn't do a drop header to move it forward. Crazy long, like 2000 MXGP long.

PulpMX has a good interview on RacerX with Dustin Pipes regarding the bike. I would go off what guys like him and Henry Miller say. Real riders/racers.
