MX Track In Chino Hills CA

Hey everyone! I was looking on google maps one day and noticed there was a track next to the free way, dam, and gravel pit, in Chino Hills CA. Its right next to the park. I was wondering if anyone has ridden here recently and knows if its safe to ride? There are some strange new white and orange marking there? Anyone know what their for? There was a rumor that Suzuki used to own it and that Ricky Carmichael used to practice there. This rumor would make sense because in this video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xpRRm1vjU78 ) Which is a Suzuki Promotion video IT LOOKS LIKE THE SAME PLACE!!!!!

Here is a pic of the tracks. There is both a National and SX Style track there.

Here is a pic of the strange lines.

Answers would be much appreciated! I would do anything to get to ride here!

Also another possibility is it could be Castillio Ranch. The place were Pastrana destroyed his knee right before A!?!?!

There was a thread about this way back and only a month ago someone posted in it saying they knew who's track it was.

Apparently where they filmed part of g-spot out of crusty 2 here.

That video you posted on the RMZ is definitely the same place as G-spot. Jump at 2.55 was in the film numerous times.

That place is dead. I used to ride there with some friends and BDW. My buddies dad took a tractor up there and basically cut a track into a hill. It's an epic memory for those who had the chance to ride it. There was a hillside track and a SX style track that had some bmx style jumps (no rolling allowed). There is more info in another thread in vital with the tittle "Orange County motocross tracks" or something like that. Trying to get there would be a felony. Locked gates, privates roads and a grumpy cattle owner.

I know the people that own that land = and they would be pretty mad if anyone rides up there without permission. The kids of the family used to ride and there was a test track that RC used to rent and ride at back in the day. I am pretty sure they cut a truck track for testing as well in resent years. It is a bust plus there is no way to get to the property unless you know the right people. The moto track has not been used for years and I bet it is full of runts and holes and the SX track was plowed years ago for racing truck testing.

I looks like all of those marks might be water bars to help prevent erosion during the rain season.

There was talks years ago that the owners of the property (below that piece of land heading toward the 91 Fwy) were going to try to put in a moto track there but the rumor was they had issues due to access and there was no bridge to get to the property from both directions. I think the city put a stop to the idea unless they were going to build a bridge - that probably would cost 5-10 million or more.

Heard in the next 10months to a year there will be a new spot with 4 tracks near the 71/91 Freeways. Just heard this yesterday and that it was approved by the city and land owners. Anybody else hear the same?

But the rumor is the land owners around the gravel pit area were looking into the idea - but that is when the access to the area question was put into play - no way to get to and exit the area. Meaning you would have to enter the track from the north on the 71 and exit going south on the 71 toward the 91. But you never know and we can only cross or fingers.

What I don't understand is why they cannot put a track at the 91/241 junction where the mining was done years back. Its obvious the soil is worthless for jones or there would be some there by now given the land grab that is so consistent with Orange County. Either way I don't know the details but it seems like a legit spot to put a track since the City of Irvine and the Irvine Co shut down Saddleback for good along with any hope of ever getting a track open in Orange County… .its too bad bec driving an hour plus sucks and ot would be nice to have a semi close track… I LOVED Ssddleback when it was open and feel a similar setup in OC would be a gold mine

That would be amazing if we had a track in OC. Even if it was 30 min away. It would still be better then milestone. The owners of the track would make a s*** load of money.

I live right by off the 71 freeway. That track is up there but you cant see it. If you watch an old Crusty video...Think I posted a thread about this awhile back, they shot a video up there. To get to the top of the hill is a little sketchy. You would have to go through the main gate and it looks like there is a gravel pit there. I would love to rent the track if possible.

I got married in that old airplane hanger. The same one Bubba kept his Odyssey in. The top of that ridge was a runway at one point. The last track that was up there was absolutely epic until the city made them tear it down. A full on Mark Peters built outdoor national style track. Now that place is on super lockdown from the city, and the owners can’t even access it last I knew. I have some great memories from that place. Unfortunately, it will all be high end houses at some point.

Wasn't the Prado track supposed be down in the flood control portion, behind the dam? I thought that was what killed the idea.

No the track was supposed to be at the quarry just to the right of this picture, they said it’s alright but an off ramp needs to be make accross the 91, I’ve talked to the Mayer of chino hills about it there concerned about the traffic that would build up

That was the Currie family’s property. I was fortunate to get to ride there sometimes. I think I heard they sold it though at some point.
