One of the challenges to a great photographer is always to catch a fantastic shot, and part of that is the background telling the story. Let's see some of your favorites with thousands of people watching!

I'm guessing a lot of them will be MXdN..

Yeah, I don't think I've ever seen any place as packed as Ernee's MXDN.

Carlsbad GP had huge crowds. Sure miss that place.

Assen stands are pretty crowded too.

Can't find a decent picture now but Teutschenthal 2013 was the biggest crowd I have ever seen in person at an MX race. And I was at the Ernee mxdn too

It's always hard to tell, since some people come for the funfair or the beer, but it's pretty packed for miles.

Is Red bud MXdN gonna be the biggest Pro motocross event of all time? I have a feeling it might be.

I love the old stuff, spectators right on the track's edge. Extreme spectating!

What is the highest attended motocross race on record? Was it Ernée?

Someone here will surely have pictures of Russian or other Iron Curtain GPs from the 70s Moiseev / Falta eras. - Reese most likely. I'm travelling so stuck on my phone and can't access my folders.

Now They were what you'd call 'sea of humanity', 'seething masses' pictures.

Always enjoyed this pic of Marty Smith chasing Gaston Rahier at the 76 belgian GP.
Probably because you can see how much spectator safety was a major concern back then.

I always loved these pictures of Joël Robert. First one is taken in 1964.
