Hi Everyone!
I hope everyone is planning a nice weekend. We have been busy this week shooting interviews with David Bailey (inspirational!) and Ronnie Lechien (wow!). Next Monday we leave for Alabama and Florida to interviews Mark Barnett and...RC (for Barnett and O'Mara's shows).
Now is the time to start gathering some cool photos, home movies and videos some of you have (I've seen it). If you have something and want to put it in "The Motocross Files: Season Three" on Speed. Please get in touch with us. Recently we have received, 1978 Hannah vs. DeCoster at Unadilla home movies, 1977 125cc Finals in San Antonio ("Let Brock Bye") home movies and '88 des Nations.
Here's who to look for:
Mark Barnett
David Bailey
Johnny O'Mara
Ron Lechien
Jeff Stanton
Gary Jones
John DeSoto
Torsten Hallman
Joel Robert
If you have anything please contact Hugh Swingle at:

There's a couple of you out there who we already get stuff from but I know others have cool stuff too (BobbyM). Obviously, magazine photos, or TV show footage (ESPN, ABC, etc) we can't use without permission so we're really looking for personally shot stuff.
Thanks for the support and the help and we look forward to seeing some great old stuff!
It's going to be a great Season Three for "The Motocross Files"!
Take care,
Todd

Thanks for the heads-up! Magoo is definitely on the list for Season 4. We only have so many shows we get to do and will get to the right guys soon enough. Have your buddy get in touch with us on the footage that is cleared (unlike ABC Sports) and we'll have it ready when we start working on Danny's show.
Blast me your contact info if you can.
Thanks for watching.
Todd
LOL!
Thanks for making it.
are seasons one and two available in box sets?
Are B&W photo's ok? I have lots of B&W and color Dilla pic's from 76 thru 79. I have to find them, their in the attic somewhere.
That footage will be used in something. I haven't seen it yet as it's being transferred. Will keep everyone posted. Probably in DeCoster's MX-File DVD (released soon!)
B/W photos are great! Bring-em on!
Thanks for the help!
Todd
I have about 8 hrs of video interviews I did back in the early 90's when I worked for America West Airlines.
The DeCoster Hannah interview at Budds Creek is priceless. Others are Brad Lackey, Eric Gebeors, Albertyn, Bartolini, Vohland, Donny Schmidt, McGrath, Emig, Brian Lunniss, Dowd (when he first rode the disguised factory bike of Craigs) Stanton, Lamson, Cooper, Lawrence, Healy, Frank Stacy, Bevo, and countless others. Too many to name. This was before the races were on TV. The race footage is epic too.
Also did RoadRace guys from Laguna Seca that are pretty cool as well.
I need to get this stuff on a DVD and get it out there! The only problem is the original tapes are from a Sony Super 8mm camera. I transferred that to VHS but that would be a copy. My Sony cam bit the dust.
I have recently purchased a VHS/DVD player/burner.
Anyone have some connections e-mail me at:
g_man82c@yahoo.com
Thanks,
Gary
I'll check the archives, I'm sure I have some Saddleback pics of those guys.
If you "own" the footage it would be great to see. Are these 8mm? VIDEO tapes. We might be able to transfer them for ya to DVD if you get them to us. Sounds great!
Thanks for thinking of us!
Todd
