Sorry for the random thread question, but this needs a solution. Q, I'm wearing new Alpinestar Tech 3's...Too narrow! Felt ok when purchased, but not so after first day of moto. I can't be the only guy with wide (EE- EEEE) feet. Please chime in as I'm buying new boots based on feedback from y'all. And if you're interested in some new 1 ride Tech 3's size 11 white let me know.

If you're looking for a good budget boot I would find some left over Comp 8's. I have really wide feet and these worked well, just go one size up.

Fox boots from my experience run small. I originally bought a pair in size 11, which fit like a size 10. Went up to size 12 and felt great, though they did stretch a little over time.

I've also had a pair of Tech 3's and they were snug at first but they do stretch after some use. They were probably some of the best boots I have ever had.

I have wide feet. All my work boots are 10.5 or 10 wide. I wear tech 7 size ten and they fit me perfect

I use regular socks. Shoe size 11 boot size across the board 10's. Tighter is better, they will stretch. I prefer Gaerne now as they also form through the ankle/leg.

I’m surprised they don’t work for you. I also have wide feet and have had several of the new tech 7’s and they fit great. Tech 10’s are also good for me. The tech 3 uses the same lower as the 7 so the fit should be the same. One trick is to pull out the footbed. That lowers your foot slightly and helps get you in the wider part of the boot. And like others have said don’t wear thick socks, use a thinner moto sock.

We have reviews on our site from a lot of the boot brands. Also have some size 11's on our site (Fox Instinct, Tech 10, and Sidi Crossfire TA)

Sorry, I should've looked for that, but found myself at my desk hoping to get some info and a possible purchse tonight. The Tech 3s are great boots, but just not liking the fit for me. Others I know love em.

Update 4/11 ... So after trying some SG10's which is a great boot, but too tight in the ankle (for me) I ended up buying aome Tech 7's and for the most part do like them. Just need some break in time..Thx to y'all for the recommendations.

I am posting this to hopefully help someone that has boots that are a little too tight. I am a size 10 shoe. I previously wore an Alpinestars Tech 10 in a size 10. I switched to Gaerne SG12 and was torn about the size. I went back and forth and settled on the size 9. My left foot was perfect but the right was tight around my pinky toe. I rode in them a few times thinking they might loosen up with no joy. I took them to a cobbler and they tried to stretch them but that did not work. At my wits end I made one last attempt and this worked perfect:

I traced my foot on a piece of 1/2 inch plywood then cut it out with a jig saw. Once cut I used a sander to smooth both edges so it would not cut the inside liner. Because of the tight nature of the ankle I cut the mold short of the full length of my foot so I could get it all the way into the toe box. Towards the end of the mold I drilled a hole and attached a piece of line to make it easier to pull out.

Once I inserted the mold into the boot I used a broom stick to leverage it all the way into the toe box. Once in I used a heat gun to warm up the toe. Once the area was very hot (be careful not to melt the plastic) I used the broom again to push the mold all the way into the toe box.

To note I also used a shoe former to make sure I did not loose room in the height of the toe box area. Once everything completely cooled I removed everything and the fit was spot on. I know this is long but hopefully I have helped someone and saved them money in the process!

I settled on Alpinestar Tech 7's... Not sure exactly why, but for my feet they just fit much better than Tech 1's or SG 10's... calf fit is still on the far side of adjustable straps and top velcro closure.

It has to be the different construction of the upper of the boot because the lower is identical. I agree though they are a lot more comfortable.
