Barcia Top Honda. Yeah, I called it in another thread, but after his qualifying and first main, I was losing hope. He did improve in each of the last two mains, and as others said, on a privateer bike! Impressed with Jordan, too, huge upside there!

Mookie

i love that kid.

it is bullshit he couldn't get a ride after winning the 250E title.

but christ man, show up and run the one offs and give yourself a shot at getting a ride.

if for nothing else, to spite the factory pricks that passed you over.

10 lap sprints are his wheelhouse too

his fitness is a mess and really disheartening when he can look at his older brother and see how small the window to be in your prime is.......but he wants to get fat, relax and not maximize his ability. Fucking shame.

I agree. To not fold under that kind of pressure is pretty telling.

When Roczen, Tomac, Dungey, Milsaps, Baggett, and Webb didn't race all three races he was without a doubt the favorite to win.
Roczen I agree...but the writing was on the wall with Dungey, Milsaps and Baggett huh? Webb has no confidence and could not beat the Marvelous.

I agree! Jordan was right up front in all three heats! I for one did not expect him to perform as well as he did. Also, you can't deny Marvin was on it!! He has stepped up his game and has risen to take over Dungey's spot!! Tomac has his work cut our for him!!

I had hoped Barcia would have done better, after all, he has won the MEC before and has the talent within him!! Not sure how he can find the secret to unlock his mind to let him get to the front where he belongs!

Tickle... he did as I expected!! He's on the premier team now and anticipate him to be a top three guy by the outdoors. Always a top five guy!!

Tim Gajser... he rode pretty good for a rookie in this type of event. He was fast before the crash and you could see how uncomfortable he looked but still tried his best. Hope he's not hurt too bad and it wold be awesome to see him come back in 2019 to race in the USA championships!!

I am impressed with KTM/Husky locking out the top spots, no other manufacturer was even in the hunt and the one that was was a privateer bike. Has to make the japaneese a bit nervous

The way I look at Tickle, Wilson, Barcia is 5-12 guys in sx. When a guy steps in like Smith and runs in that pack it's impressive. I'm looking forward to when the 250 guys get a chance to show what they have.

Lol why would you add Dungey? Of course Dungey didnt race hes retired... all the rest make sense yes hes definitely the favorite without half the field out there.

Impressive:
Marvin's millions. Marv is the statistical favorite for the 2018 Supercross title. It will be his 3rd year in 450 Supercross and most riders win their first Supercross title before year 3. If they haven't won it by then it isn't likely to ever happen.

Jason Anderson not plowing into a down Eli Tomac. That could have been really bad for Eli and the sport. Inches away from disaster.

Dean's speed in qualifying. We can work with speed.

Not impressive:
The track layout. To many gimmicks. Where can we submit track layouts for consideration?
When you pay for a seat in the stadium and only see the riders for half of the lap and half of that is flat ground with 2 corners that were so one lined no one can make a pass all night is a joke bigger than the joker lane debacle.

Dean's starts.

Not BS at all. No drive/determination = no employment in this industry. I think he's more talented than a guy like Tickle but I'd hire Tickle before Mookie all day long because of his work ethic. Bad example because Tickle is also a lites SX champ. Replace Tickle with Savatgy though. Who would you take a factory ride from so Mookie can have one? Regarding most impressive. It's a tie between Musqin (3 in a row) and Anderson (also 3 in a row). Jordan Smith also impressed the crap out of me. Tim Gajser just getting on the line was also impressive.

Supermini and then Jordan Smith's performance

Most surprising would have been if Marvin did not easily win the million after Tomac's crash.

not necessarily a factory ride but even a top flight privateer ride.

moto concept team? MCR? (they had alessi correct?), Geico put together a 450 for him to ride?

Honestly it's mostly his fault. If he was in shape, he'd be offered a ride. He has the pace.....for about 60 percent of the race

lots o f crashouts and bad luck, plus i'm suspecting he commands a mighty dollar.

anyway, back on topic.

Probably one of the worse races I've seen in a long time.
First few laps were ok before the red flag, then it was a snooze fest... was there a pass for position in the top 5 after that?? (By the way I think if that race doesn't get red flagged then Tomac wins, that really changed the dynamic of the night I believe)
The track was terrible for racing, the joker lane didn't work.
Jeff trying to hype up the battle between Marv and Jason Anderson ??? They train together everyday as if Jason was going to battle with him and take away that payday.. he would of said to Marv I'll keep a safe gap for you, bring ha home $$$$
Everyone finished where they should I thought, probably expect Josh Grant to do a bit better..
Anyways went off topic, sorry. Looking forward to A1

I thought Deano had a solid night, imo if Marv has a mechanical at any of the sx rounds to come, its not out of the question he may just find the top step.

Jett Reynolds definitely got a few more twitter followers over the weekend as well, kid rips! Made for some exciting racing without doubt.

I added him because 6 month ago the start of each race had one more guy that was fighting for the first corner.

I do like Mar's response when asked what he was going to buy Matil "Whatever she wants"

Didn’t Barcia beat the whole JGR team with a bike that was off the shelf? $8000 beat $108,000?

I second the Jordon Smith....but what about Brock Tickle??? Man I think that guy rode freaking good for his first formal outing on the new bike. I hope he has a similar breakout year to Osborne. I don't think there'll be any title hopes but a career year would be good for the guy.

Most impressed with the local Papa John's for hooking me up with 5 peppers to go with my pepperoni pizza instead of the usual one.

Fell asleep during the race

Not too bad right out of the gate either!!

Musquin (25) knew he needed a good start in the third and final moto in order to give himself the best chance at winning the Monster Million, and boy did he get one. Musquin took home a million dollars (or, at least, $50,000 over the next 20 years, courtesy of event promoter Feld Motorsports). PHOTOGRAPHY BY STEVE COX

Take a look at Musquin in the pic you posted. Looks like he might have changed his starting technic. Dungey starting to give out his secrets?

Either way I'm a fan of Musquin.

Most impressed by how good the racing was in the Supermini class. Who would have thought underpowered bikes make for great racing.....

When you can't clear a jump combo from the inside it makes things interesting.

On a side note, I think a 125 race on that track would have been awesome.

I actually wanted Barcia to win the other night.... however... he didn't look good.... a top 3 would have been a solid, and even reasonable, finish... instead, he would have been close to tenth if ET, Gasjser, etc, wouldn't have been knocked out.... '18 SX is do for die time for Barcia....
