.

@pulpmx: MCR claiming 800 won in Gopher Dunes? Huh?
.

Mike Alessi ran out of fuel and did not finish the race....

Confused

But hey, Mike Brown got 6th on the Husky. that's cool

Ha, really?

Is that two wins they're claiming now? I wonder if they ever think if they should click send or post before putting this shit out there. Like you gotta at least think about it right?

Was it posted before moto two? Also I doubt Tony runs their twitter, probably their "social media" person.

I don't get what's the big deal here. Mike had checked out. MCR jumped the gun a little early and sent out a congratulatory tweet a little early and got burned. Not sure why Matthes was so confused?

He took quite a hit in the points. I think he was 9 down before the race and what did he lose another 18 ? Not looking good. Those Suzukis get shitty fuel mileage. Wink

maybe because it's retarded to tweet a congrats to yourself for winning a race that hasn't even been completed yet. I don't care if there's only one lap left, it's still dumb. Anything can happen, like a crash, mechanical, or even, dare I say it running out of gas lol. MCR/Alessis is the only team that consistently does dumb shit like this. I don't see any other race team tweeting they "won" the moto before the moto is even done lol. This reminds me of their "press confrences" they used to do after each SX round this year. It really doesn't surprise me considering where this is coming from, but in the grand scheme of the Alessi's, this is actually pretty minor. Nobody went to the hospital, the police weren't called, no fines/suspensions handed out so I must say that today was a good day lol

Apparently it was more important to figure out a way to get mike acrossed the finish line somehow instead of worrying about someone a thousand miles away getting ready to send out a wrong report.

I would think that finishing 3rd-10th in the USA nationals in far better than ending the season in 2nd at the Canada nationals. Not taking anything away from Colton , kiniry, or Chisholm but outside the top five or eight racing the class, they'd have a hard time getting a top five in the b class at Loretta's.

Only drama I ever see him have to report about is the drama the whole Alessi family keeps creating.

So when colt beats alessi for this title does that automatically make him "top 5" in the world outdoors since alessi is top 5 in the world according to some on here.

Glad somebody cleared that up, DC. I'd hate to see MCR draw up some legal documents or something without having the proper spelling for Matthes.

Let it go, gang, I was just teasing. I posted a wrong "winner" tweet at Loretta Lynn's when someone crashed in the last turn -- it happens when you are at the races.

Good luck up there, Jeff.

The 1st bike to the finish line gets a checked flag,

the guy pushing his bike back to the pits...if you don't finish, it doesn't count.

That how the rules work in Canada.

Non issue. But since it's got something to do with the Alessi's, matthes will make it an issue. If this was Honda who said faciatti won and he didnt then matthes never would have even mentioned it. Matthes is going to lose a lot of respect within the industry for things like this

I highly doubt anyone from the Alessi's tweeted that or had any knowledge of the tweet

Probably not. It was a mistake. Not the end of the world. In your last post you mentioned something about Facciotti. Colt doesn't have the reputation that the Alessi family does. So you're right it wouldn't be a big idea. Is it fair to criticize everything they do? No, but unfortunately it's going to happen.

Agreed. And to be honest, if it wasn't for matthes I wouldn't even know how mike is doing in canada because I don't follow it. And I doubt I'm alone in that regard.

Well, maybe from Alessi fans. But there doesn't seem to be many of those these days.
