Grear’s Motorsports Park. Zanesville, Ohio. Wide, long circuit in a Valley/ hillside. Very, very Steel City’ish/Mount Morrisey. Looks like a National Track. I only did four laps, I’m a punk. Some big hits, lots of uphills n downhills, some floaters, some booters, some twizzlesticks, some titty-twisters, lots of potential here, practice only currently, likely races next year. Pretty exciting for the Ohio Moto scene. They have a Facebook page for more info....

Just noticed this on your Instagram. Followed them, waiting on practice days for mid week sessions. Looks fantastic!

That's like 90 minutes from Mansfield....might as well be just down the street, as far as MX tracks go.

That one is the closest to me. Its a 45 min drive. This new one will make me have to pass up 62 and briarcliff to get there. Looks like a really nice track. Reminds me of highpoint

Excellent! We need to collectively pray to the baby Jesus (DC) to bring his traveling summer circus back to town! And pray further that another biblical flood doesn't take it from us again.

I see that, but just having a truck don't mean they have the water or the time to get it watered. I been to a few tracks that was to large to maintain and they did not last long.

The flood was only part of it. Don Kenworthy was given a list of must do improvements for the facility and he chose to ignore the suggestions.

LOVED me some Troy, Ohio MX back in the day!

Quick question--flying into Columbus a few weeks ago, we flew over a farm with a sweet looking MX and / or SX track on it when we were on final approach--looked like a big farm, but does anyone know if this is the track, or what track that is?

If you flew into Columbus from the east side, it very well could have been this track. I haven't seen the track in person yet, but it doesn't look very supercrossy to me.

This is just over a 2 hour one way trip for me. I'll have to cut out of work early one day and come check it out. Thanks for the heads up! Looks awesome.

In his defense, a track between corn fields and next to a river wasn't the best long term business model lol. I did love going there. Even though July and August here is the doorsteps of hell

Southeastern Ohio has some great places to ride, fasttraxx, briarcliff, huffman hills and have yet to visit grears, all fun to ride and all under an hour to drive for me.

Yes this is where the tigers were at.

The owner seems like a great guy, and really wanting to invest in moto. I know he has plans to expand the track already. As of now I dont think they could host a big OMA event, due to current limits on parking.
They recently got a water truck when we went they didnt have one yet. Made it one powder line around the track. Boy said the bike just pushed an slid on him. Baseball and swimming have prevented us from getting back down since they got the water truck.
He has plans to build a bridge and a tunnel to get into the infield area of the track. There isnt much shade so bring a pop up.

only thing I can think of, would be fast traxx but its not on a big farm. It is supercrossish.

Ted's Axel Run in New Concord has the big track plus an Arenacross track but he hasnt been open for 2 years now sadly.

And... Don K wanted more than a year-to-year agreement for rights to the National. Kind of hard to stomach sinking massive $$ with no guarantee of ROI.

It was very much a 2-way street with a lot of roadblocks in each direction.

With all the elevation all over Ohio it seems like I always find myself at the flattest or near flattest tracks. Jump city. I'm no supercross rider. I'll take natural elevation any day! Plus I'm 45 and old. Lol
