Hypothetically, if I'm racing 450B, and my 450 blows up in friday practice of the regional, and I qualify by racing my 250 in 450 B, can I race my 450 at lorettas?

Yes. You do not need to ride the same bike at the national as the regional.

So,

You are planning to blow up your 450 in Friday practice?

no, assuming we ever get to go racing again. Just wasn't sure if they tracked VINs from regionals to loretta's

General guideline once you start a race on a certain bike, that is the bike you need to complete all moto's for the event.

If your "race bike" breaks in practice, or before the start line of your first moto, you can switch up til gate drop.

The 450b class at Lorettas is full of new 250fs.

Scott, he was asking about between the qualifier and the actual National

Good morning Dave,

I understood his question, and have had it posed to me while working area and regional LL qualifiers.

I was trying, maybe not so well, to give a general guideline answer to his question for all situations, not only the Loretta situation.

In this scenario, the regional qualifier is the "event" and the final is a seperate "event". I could have probably explained that more clearly.

That's why in some frame number checking processes, the first moto check is after the finish flag, and the following moto's may be checked either prior to the start line, or after the finish flag depending on staffing and space at the event.
