Looking for three wheeler racers in southern California

I will catch so much hell of this, but....

I just bought a 1985 Honda 350 three wheeler and my buddy has one too. We we're going to try to race the CALVMX series race at Perris Raceway on July 14th. I contacted the promoter and he said he would want at least three bikes to justify running the class. I was hoping to find somebody else to race with us.

Flame on!

OK, I'll start:

How many ATC riders does it take to put out the flames when a '76 Pinto catches fire?

I do know a couple of brothers n the Palm Springs area that have been racing their 3 Wheeler locally. Look up Wes and Travis Dobbins on FB and send them a message. They are a couple of characters....big into 3 wheelers. Last time I visited them there were a half dozen n the living room?

I know they have a bunch of buddies with them so maybe you guys could get some good races going

Mother of God, why?
The only time I tried riding one, I kept running over my own leg. It was like some crazy anti-motorcycle.

Man if I were closer. And to those who get run over. Your supposed to put your feet on the pegs.... if you get a chance to rip a 350x or 250r try it. They're not slow. The 250r has just about the same performance as a cr. I own Honda and kawi tecates both liquid and they're a blast. Nothing like a quad either. Trike on my moto brother.

I already almost rode it off the side of a hill when I was trying it out for the first time. It's sketchy, but on a track could be fun.

Had a 1985 ATC 350X. Crashed it hard many times. At high speed. You gotta be tough. You will get mashed.

You know, I can understand why people might want to race 40 or 5 year old motorcycles with no suspension, brakes or manageable power.

After working and hosting atv nationals I can even understand how people might get the urge to race quads.

I can not think of any reason someone would want to race one of those 3 wheel monstrocities.

When 5 hey are finally extinct the world will be a much safer and better place.

I can not validate SO CAL 3 wheelers yet know the East/Midwest boys were fast in the woods at GNCC back in the day. Ted Trey & Bob Sloan (RIP). I rode a Honda ATC 250 R for 2 years gaining a 85/86 state champ. Moved back to KTM 2 wheels after that.

I was going to give you shit, but, I really dug those 350X three wheelers when I was younger and cruising the dealers with my bro on our BMX bikes in the 80s! Eff it man rip those things... they are cooler than quads that's for sure!

If my 200X was running I'd be in. As it sits it needs mucho work. Maybe next year.

My buddy had an '85 200X when I was a kid. Damn thing was an absolute blast to ride...right up to the point that my foot fell off the peg and I ran my leg over and dislocated my knee. I'm no medical professional, but I'm fairly sure my left foot isn't supposed to be facing west while the kneecap is still aimed due north. I'd still love to ride one again, though.

I put on a vintage race back in 2012 in the UK, advertised a trike class thinking it might be a bit of a demo with 2-3... we ended up with 14 on the line, mostly Honda ATC and Yamaha Tri-Zs, with one KX500 powered Tecate. I’m always on the look out for one at the right price.
