Greetings Vitards- I've been a lurker for years. The gf and I are flying down to Vegas on Thursday for the race. Neither of us have been to Vegas before. Was hoping to get some tips from you bro's on the must see/do things. We're staying at NYNY if that helps. Looking for adult orientated things, no family stuff!

I've been to seattle sx & washougal many many times, so am familiar with the race day activities, but am pretty much clueless when it comes to the strip.

Go to Glitter Gulch on Fremont St. It's where stippers go to retire.

walking the strip anywhere between 10 pm and 6 am is always fun to watch on the strip.

Absinthe at Caesars Palace.

Excellent adult only show, part Cirque, part porn, part comedy (x rated).

Google the reviews and see if it your gig, it can get raunchy but it was awesome.

Lots of free stuff to do, Pirate show at Treasure Island, Fountains at Bellagio, Circus show, volcano show, bird show, I think they got rid of the lions at MGM. GF may like the shopping at Caesars Palace. Definitely take a walk up and down the strip during the day. I don't think the big shows are really worth the money, "O" is pretty good but not cheap.

Had a blast the last time we went to the us open years ago. We went all out for our first trip without kids. I took $100 out of atm and i guess I get lucky sometimes. I was up quite a bit and it made our trip amazing. We had 4 days in mgm and got another 4 at ceasars. Celebrity suites and multiple rounds of sushi each day plus shows and sit downs. I played black jack with Fonseca just me and him for awhile. We chatted and I was still being lucky. Ha I saw guyb pass and I jumped up and we talked for a second but i was in on a hand. He was really cool and I was wishing I would of put him in on a few hands after he left. It was just moto people every direction. Tried to act sober in the elevator with momma and poppa Carmichael staring at me at about as drunk I have been as an adult. I think I said something like great job with your boy there or maybe blah blah blah blah. Hope Not. Ha
We rode the coaster at NY NY and saw the monorail out our window and hit some attractions that were on side of it like star trek experience which was a cool bar with a ride. Rented a Jeep and drove to the top of the peaks and made the wife nervous. Got a fishing guide on Lake meade and caught a ton of fish. That is a whole other funny story. Saw a crf with rent me on the side of the road. Lots to do. We did a ton more but it's endless.
Vegas is amazing.

This Vegas resident recommends:

- Hoover Dam (symbolic of the "New Deal")
- Wynn Las Vegas show Le Reve
- Red Rock Canyon (hike - The Mojave Desert)
- Strip Clubs (Crazy Horse III (I know a host who can assist), Spearmint Rhinos (cheap bottles during the day), Sapphire
- Night Clubs (XS, Marquee, Hakkasan - nothing else is in the same ball park)
- Casino to chill: (Cosmopolitan)
- Restaurants:
* Holstein's in Cosmo (upscale diner)
* Piero's (the last of old Vegas, eat amongst wiseguys, casino exe, movie stars, and athletes)
* Sinatra's (Encore - amazing scene and food)
* Lakeside (Wynn Las Vegas - amazing sea food and scenes)

- Downtown Las Vegas (check out Tony Hsieh transformation and play ground)
- Zappos - tour and learn corporate culture
- Day Clubs (Marquee, Encore Beach Club, Wet Republic, Rehab)
- Downtown "First Friday" - Wild Party downtown
- AX: http://www.arenacross.com/Events/2014/05/04/Las_Vegas,_Nevada/
- Bellagio Art Exhbit
- Bellagio show "0"
- Mandalay show: M Jackson
- Mirage Show: Love (Beatles)
- Mountain Bike "Red Rock Canyon" - http://www.lasvegasoutdooradventure.com/2012/02/las-vegas-mountain-biki…
- Road Bike "Red Rock Canyon Loop"
- Want to practice Moto on Friday or Sunday: http://www.mesquitemx.com/

Pirate Show at TI is DOA. "First Friday" downtown starts early and will be a blast on Friday. A lot cheaper than Strip and HRH.

make sure you get on the piss at the circle bar at the hard rock, friday night after the endurocross final all the riders will be there and usually the injured supercross riders who aren't racing on saturday.

First time? Walk the Strip and take it all in. Go see the big casinos.

The deli at NYNY has some of the best sandwiches ever.

If you want to see a show, hit up one of the Tix 4 Tonite places for big discounts.

It seems like the adult stuff has been covered pretty extensively so i'll just leave that one alone. But if you're looking for something a little more tame, I saw the Frank Caliendo stand-up when I was in vegas last and it was hilarious. Not sure if he is still doing it or not, that was a couple years ago.

Go to Red Rock if you have a car. It is just just miles west of the the strip. Hike Calico Tanks. We are big hikers, bikers, moto, and it's my favorite trail in the world. It's more scrambling than walking. Has an amazing view at the top! You may see climbers climbing 100 foot vertical faces right beside the trail in some spots. Then you get to see the varying geology of the Nevada desert on the scenic 13 mile drive out.

If you have more time, go to Valley of Fire. About an hour north of the strip on the 15. Large state park. Very beautiful. Great hikes, bikes, 4x4, etc

My advice from someone that lives 3.5 hours away, and goes quite often, with kids and without kids....is Don't try to do too much when you are there, there are TONS of things to see, tons of things to do, tons of things to eat, tons of things to drink...so you will drive yourself to insanity trying to do everything that was recommended, to the point your trip will not be as fun...pick a few things you want to do...and fill the rest in as you go, you will never run out of things to do....

This gentleman speaks truth....

Go see 3-4 casinos (Bellagio, Wynn, Cosmo, City Center) max.... once you get past the lobby, they are same. Hike Red Rock Canyon - its a must do.

Vegas is going to buzzing this weekend - huge fight in town too (Floyd "Pretty Boy")
