I have just bought a Toyota Hiace van to transport mine and sons bikes.
Has anyone had experience with Risk Racing Lock N Load in a van, was thinking if i went that way I would load one bike fowards, the other backwards.
Any thoughts on Lock N Load ? Thanks.

Its a good system. Best thing about it is that you can remove the entire thing fast if you have to throw something else into the van. in short it works well, grips the bike by the pegs so you dont scratch your bars

What is this "around the forks" you speak of?

Use your soft tie around the fork tubes between your two triple clamps...

More sturdy/stable and no chance of beating up wires/cables. Was the way I was taught, makes sense to me, who wants a beat kill switch?

Really wish we could get those vans in the US! Can you post a pic of the inside? In a typical cargo van i don't think they would work because the bikes usually have to lean if there is more than one and I think the lock n load requires the bike to be straight. But those Toyotas look pretty big so I'm curious to see inside the back.

Give me a few. On vacation. Gotta hunt down a photo. I love having them, doesn't ruin the suspension and allows for a lot of extra room in front of the bikes for gear. The rear tires are about 2-4" from the back door. I set the lock and loads up off set front to back about 2" and about 2" apart.

Do you have a wall up in your van?

Would like to see photos when you get time. I am thinking of going this route soon.

Thanks TJ.

I'll second this one. Been doing it that way for years. I have ties with the loops and just go around the tube above the bottom clamp.

Can't seem to get my buddies on board though.

Has anyone been able to make their own system?

Hell yea. Just a ridgid stand and some turnbuckles to rings on the floor. Had this set up in my old enclosed.

This a chevy express extended passenger van. I made a bracket to hold the lock n loads because the rails for the passenger seats are in the way. In a cargo van, you should be able to bolt down the included brackets and easily install and remove them when you want with the large wing bolts.
