• Oval pistons and eight valves per cylinder (isn't that what that was?) was a helluva complicated alternative to a 500cc two-stoke.
• I think that RC335 was the works predecessor to the original CR-250 Elsinore in 1973. Very cool/rare.
• Those Honda F1 chassis never amounted to much, but, ironically, the team's known as AMG Mercedes nowadays.
• I can't place the V10 engine, although I suspect it's a 3.0 from the Honda works period. One would think they'd have one (or more) Williams-Honda, Lotus-Honda or McLaren-Honda F1 cars (or maybe just the engines). That period could include the 1.5 V6 twin-turbo, 3.5 V10 and 3.5 V12. In five years alone, McLaren ran all three of those engines.

Pit Row
I thought y'all were accusing Soichioro's peeps of "Killing the Two-Stroke"?
And Flat track Air filters... was that really the best solution they could come up with .
The 'rubbish' Honda F1 car won the championship the following year badged as a Brawn , with Jenson Button, so the folk doing the designing knew what they were doing, as with most things Japanese, its what they were allowed to do that held them back.
Got a few mates at AMG F1 , had a chance to go work in 2009 but decided against it, 60 hour weeks and racing dont mix. and 15 hours a week commuting instead of 2 , made it an easy decision.
There will be a Honda Indy engine in there somewhere that i had a hand in.
The Honda f1 dominated the title the following year badges as a Brawn.
...you bitch
Thought of you yesterday
I'll bet with the new 4-strokes, an automatic trans would make more sense. I remember Husqvarna ran an automatic in the 500CC class in the late 70s, 1980ish time frame.
Some great equipment there!
Then Soichiro died and they completely lost their way when it came to competition and they started worshiping at the altar of enviromentalism, niche marketing, and pushing Accords and Civics.
