The fact that he dies in the same circumstances then his dad is so ludicrous, so sad. Not only must this be so hard for the family but also for his team and every sponsor, mechanic, engineer, manufacturer, ... involved in building this bike. Bit like Williams is still blamed for the death of Senna (but also Benetton because they were cheating with electronics).
Unfortunately there s been loads of riders killed the same way .the time Robert died his bike locked up. Then when William and Michael decided to race the next day . William s bike locked up on the sighting lap . All 3 bikes were tuned the same. Then Michael went out and won the race . Back when 125 and 250 2 stroke. Were being races by all the big riders . Half the field use to break down .the bikes were a look highly tunned., and Joey and Roberts bike use to run so lean . The super twins is gone a bit like that now . Half the field breaking down ever race

"Would they still race if nobody showed up to watch? Are we responsible for those deaths?."

MX Mattii :

I'm Not having a go at you with this, but : Of Course they'd still Bloody Well Race, and No, We (as followers of the sport) are Not responsible for their deaths.

The Sport didn't start as a spectator sport - it started with people wanting to race each other or against 'the clock'. About the only branch of our Sport - Motorcycling - that started as a 'thing' for Spectators, is the Circus of Supercross.

These guys are certainly brave men. The speeds these guys ride at are insane and the roads are pretty dangerous. They kill 1-3 per year and yet they still fill the grids
