Just caught up with a friend of mine who raced Saturday night, and he's in rough shape. His whole body is covered in those red burn marks. I'm not a lawyer, but a class action suit proving the promoter negligent seems like an easy W.

I think Feld should just dip into their massive green-lined pockets and give each rider who raced Saturday an expense stipend. Don't discriminate about who made the mains, who has more expensive parts, etc, etc. Just pick an amount, and had over some cash, at least it would be some goodwill shown towards the guys who provide the entertainment.

Those bikes look like a bike I saw that a guy used oven cleaner on to clean it. It is very caustic stuff it appears.

Is this where the Vital tuff guys call the racers pusses and tell them to "man up"? And tell the mechanics the same thing?

Or is this where those industry "insiders" come in and tell us that the racers should have just packed up and gone home if they didn't feel it was safe to race?

Whole lot of stupid in this sport and it isn't the home schooled riders.

Everyone should submit a bill to Dirt Wurx and Feld for the ruined bikes and refuse to race until it's paid.
It took a little while, but 4csHATER and oldblood are here now

I don’t have time to read all 7 pages, so if it’s been said before spare me the bashing. Lime has been used for the better part of 20 years at majority of the rounds. They mix it in before placing on track. A lot of the rounds have been saved thanks to this, last week it was used with zero issues. I would venture to say their could have been a supplier issue with the potency/mixture of it. They come in huge bags.

I'd be curious if they worked for KTM or Feld. I would think the KTM guys would know better not to trash 15 bikes for 100 yards of entertainment. Could Feld really force them to go through with it? Or did KTM fear the wrath of 50 parents? It's bizarre we don't have a fairly clear chain of command in this sport.
I heard the stadium announcer actually say they left the decision up to the parents and the parents said let the kids ride.

Have the chemical burns and bike damage happened at other mud races in the past? I can remember lots of mudders (A1 2005 immediately comes to mind) but I don't remember hearing about chemical burns on riders skin.

I think they over did it with the amount , and with some really potent shit. I've never seen this much damage or burns from one race , at any track....ever.

I would use sawdust or small wood chips but what do I know. Never been a fan of the lime.
2018 GP of Ireland held at a horse race course, it was under water weeks before GP & soil was totally saturated. They put wood chip all over the track about a foot deep. The FIM nearly cancelled the race because of the wood chip but it dried up so well racing went ahead & a great day for all, execep Zach Osbourne DNF 2nd moot after winning the 1st. Wood chip used was the same used to cover areas of garden to keep weeds down

Those KTM kids came from all over the world....I'm sure they wanted to race..just like the big boys. I hope the kids were able to get washed off/cleaned up right away , but I could see this being the end of the 50cc program....again.

Terrible troll remark..

Its totally fine if those craigslist bikes were 10 years old.. These guys are riding brand NEW bikes and put on the track for only 30 mins. And now they look like those craigslist bikes. Dumbass.

This is the first time I have heard about this type of issue.

It was a joke. Let me explain it to you, after one race the bikes look like they've been sitting outside next to the shed negelcted for 10 years. Dumbass

Feld and Dirt Werx will be making changes in my opinion. All it takes is a serious reaction and they are being sued for sure. One of the biggest dangers are to the eyes .

It's an alkaline also. So with expensive bikes you would think dirt werx would try to come up with a better option than using lime.

Believe me when I say I feel your pain, but you should have stuck with Aldon's program; he doesn't allow cheater meals at Tijuana Flats.

Matthes, JT and Weege discussing this on the RacerX Review podcast. For sure, Weege and Matthes are trying to get some answers from Dirtwurx and Feld.
