Wasn't the old record something like 306 feet? I know he was looking to break that by a bunch but to beat it by 60 feet....in practice?? Dude is insane. Too bad he got hurt but at least he'll recover. Landing on that fake grass looks sketchy, crashing on it is another thing altogether..

Snow would never be a solid enough surface to jump these distances on. You could try on ice but that sounds pretty scetchy too

Looking at the bike jumps, I'd say the weather makes a huge difference on how the jump turns out. These 300'+ jumps are crazy.

Thought for the thread: the original "flight" of man was 120' (first flight of the day for the wright brothers)
