I saw a KR557 edition at the dealer the other day.....so damn cool. Legit ready to race, the tank is even ready to just bolt a dry-break in to.

$11,700 is just WAY to rich for my blood. I'm hoping maybe to pick one up used in a few years that someone bought and looked at more than they rode Laughing

Looks like an amazing motorcycle really hard to beat for someone wanting to buy a bike to race GNCC or hare scrambles. If I had the money or the choice I’d take one of those over a 450 factory edition! Too bad they didn’t make an FX version of the husky because I like those colors better.

Legit big tank saves $200+

By all accounts those Factory Clamps are a legit upgrade as well.

FMF exhaust.

It DOES have some stuff that most racers find a legit value.

I say get it, take good care of it and hit me up when you're ready to sell!

If it was an XC instead they would sell them even faster. Nobody really rides 4-strokes off road around me anymore. They look bitchin though!

KTM finally builds a 350 Factory Edition for the US market. Nice way to honor all those GNCC Championships Kailub Russell won for them on the 350. The bigger quick fill ready fuel tank, FMF 4.1 Ti/Carbon slip on muffler with spark arrester, skid plate, Factory triple clamps, floating front rotor with rotor protector, solid rear rotor, hole shot device, stronger Hinson clutch cover, billet machined factory hubs with Dirt Star rims...lots of function stuff for the additional money along with the orange frame, Red Bull graphics, and special seat. Very fun bike. 350's are a great combination of power/weight/handling....I am really enjoying my KR350....

Price out a FMF muffler, the composite skid plate and big tank and that alone makes the KR Edition a value. The wheels, clamps and brake rotors are all BONUS.

They will sell every one they make in short order. How would it make sense to honor KR with a 2 Stroke special edition of a bike he never raced?

Well yeah I get why they did a 350 haha! And they are doing some 2 stroke ones too but its always on the XCW platform which sucks.

Yeah, one time for fun after he'd wrapped up a Championship early on the 350.

I'm a 2 stroke lover for sure, it just doesn't make sense to make a special edition to honor KR when he made his career and legacy on the 350.

But hell, everyone in local Missouri off road is riding a 2 stroke so clearly 4 strokes are dead in off road....Just don't tell Kailub Russell, Grant Delong, Dalton Shirey, Grant Baylor, Taylor Robert, Dante Oliviera or David Kamo. (Those are the 2020 champs of basically every relevant National level off road series who all rode 4 strokes :laughSmile

*This is not meant to be a dick post to Spooner, just pointing out that like it or not 4 strokes are super relevant on the off road stage.*

Yeah, I guess someone needs to win something relevant on the 2 stroke XC platform to make it happen!

Ride before you buy. I have a 20' 450xcf. Im around 200lbs. The bike has incredible power but suspension doesn't work as well if you are riding track and trails back to back. Also at 200lbs you have to change rear spring right off the bat.

Isn't basically any bike going to need re-sprung for someone who weighs 200lbs?

Beautiful Machine Smile

I have the 2016 350 XCF-W, the LAST year they made them before they all went to EXC's like the California models that have the Smog crap, blinkers and mirrors and I think the ECU is mapped to pass smog. They did not have any in AZ so upon research I found one at Langstons shop in Calif called them up and made the deal in about ten minutes!

These are FANTASTIC machines for what they are intended to do and I have done very little.
The exhausts are fine but I did put on a different end cap from "Best Dual Sports" that is less restrictive.

The suspension is great for me at 165 w/o gear.

I did make the gearing taller (one larger tooth on the C/S and two smaller on the primary) as most of my buddies have 500's and when Dual Sporting did not want to be revving the crap outta her. With the stock 2.3 gal tank I have not had the low fuel light come on at 110 miles which is pretty dang good imo.

Same one Davey posted but I snagged this photo about 5 minutes after it showed up at the office. Seriously trick machines and they’ve been selling them like crazy. I know I saw 3 at the last GNCC and they had only been out a few days at that point!

Yeah I suppose. I didn't change it on my yz. KTM is pretty prideful about their "ready to race" machine yet here I am spending money to have all my stuff revalved, add bleeder valves, and springs. 200lbs with gear is not extreme. I get I am heavier than a top level pro but I'm also 5 inches taller than most of them too. So it's not like I can lose weight. It's just something I didn't encounter with my YZ's in the past.

KTM could make a 20 year anniversary Shane Watts special edition 125.

That would sell like crazy!

Only problem is, if it is gonna be a true tribute bike to Wattsy it would just be a bone stock KTM with no trickery added....

You’re a heavy weight, you’re gonna have to go up a spring rate on any bike, including Yamaha. Didn’t you do a little research about the Xact fork before you bought the bike? It’s no KYB. I knew I was gonna have to drop at least $1000 on my forks before I bought my 21 TX300. Even my YZ250FX needed a good chunk of change to get the suspension where I wanted it.

I think to REALLY be authentic, you’d have to order a Wattsy special and wait to see which model they sent you at random.

That was such a cool year.
