I've seen certain races here and there from those times. We have a race from the mid 80's at Carlsbad that I've watched a bunch of times.

Believe it or not, about 10 years ago we were racing the CMC Golden State nationals at Perris Raceway and we had 70 250 JR's. We had two divisions. A year earlier we consistently had 45+ riders at every round in 250 JR. And we had a separate beginner class. It was pretty crazy having guys start right behind us at some of those rounds
