Heyo, started the thread to see who refreshed his trusty steed for this years racing/weekend riding!

Promoted from a 2013 250sx to a 19 250sx this winter and finally came around putting it to my personal taste.

Now i’ve shown you mine, let’s see yours!

2020 not looking so hot. Started with broken wrist, disassembled bike, and no money.

Hey, what's my number doing on your bike? Laughing
Looks good!

I've was running hand guards to block the cold air, but it's starting to warm up in NJ, so I ditched them. Here's my 13 rendition:

Is that a clarke tank? Hoe does it fit the aluminum frame?

I'm liking what's hiding in the background also.

Yes it's a Clarke. Initially it was a forceful install. The left side mount had to be loosened where it attached to the tank so that I could get it bolted to the frame (frame bolt --> re-tighten loose tank bolts). After the first ride everything settled and now it goes on and off without this exercise.

The other issue was the right shroud. Not sure if it had anything to do with the shroud itself (Acerbis), but I had to file the aluminum inserts and make the holes more oblong, allowing the shroud to sit more flush against the tank when bolted up. This took maybe 10 minutes to do though... Just put the shroud up to the tank and see if everything lines up, make note of where it doesn't and file the inserts accordingly. I put them in a vise and used a round file.

Left shroud required no modification.

I did use the Clarke tank padding. Stock rubber pad is no go unless you want to cut/sand it down or something.

Overall I'm satisfied with the product and would do it all again.
