Have you ever slowed down a little to let a buddy finish in front of you (for whatever reason)?

Some will say race the race, and in most cases I agree, but when a title is on the line, you do what you gotta do for your team. Tomac is not that guy.

No but I have never been paid by a team to race either , I would do it for a mate to win a championship

No way, you gotta earn everything in life. I would be irritated to say the least if someone let me win so I wouldn’t do for someone.

If I didn't win fair and square, the trophy means nothing.

When I was about 13-14 at a small club day, I got talking to a guy on the line that was new to the club, he told me he'd never won a race before.. So cut to the last few laps of the last race of the day I was winning and saw he was behind me so I slowed up and let him past so he could get his first win, as a welcome to the club
(I was a kid, I realise now that's patronising as fuck haha)
My sense of well being was tip top until I was talking to a guy that went to the same school as the new guy and apparently he was telling anyone who cared that he easily won and flogged the local guys!
First and last race the dickhead won against me haha

So should Tomac return the million dollars that Savagty let him get?

Only if the title is on the line.
I once did it for the regional title but it was the last round and the guy i let by was my riding buddy.

Another thread started by Joey savatgy?? Haha
Jokes aside, I’d let a mate by if I wasn’t in it.. but my biggest prize was a shiny piece of gold painted plastic so my opinion means nothing 🤣
