Bonded soles are cheaper to produce. They do not last as long though.
They have been tweaking the compound since the boot was released. They still do not wear as well, as evidenced by this thread.
Attributing it to foot position is....interesting.
I hold out hope for a hinged Tech 8 some day. Without a stupid bootie, FWIW.

Astars are well known for soles not lasting however they are known (Tech 10) for very good ankle support. Crash safety is high.
It is not so easy to resole the tech 10's with their replacement soles. I have tried does not come out as good as when it gets done at the factory.
If you look at Jeremy McGraths boots he has a perfect wear pattern on the souls of his boots. From Arch to Ball. Who here rides like Jeremy ?
Funny story I ride on one leg. I only wear out one sole of my T10's. I favour the one leg. Doc says it is from getting in and out of cars wrong. Pulled a ligament. You are supposed to turn with your back to the seat then sit down then swivel both legs into the vehicle. Putting one leg in first then sitting down then swiveling the other leg in is what caused my issue. Looking at Leatte , tried them on I am size 10 but size 12 fits.
I would love to ride like McGrath but that ship has sailed long time ago and will never come past.
I also trimmed my booties to make them as comfortable as possible. I wear thin socks. Besides the sole the T10 have lasted me well - Replaced some buckles. Done the soles. Still a very good boot in terms of safety equipment one of the best if not the best. I know a lot of riders that have gone to Gaerne after being with A Stars.
Sponsored riders get a new pair of boots about once a week - How else do they keep them so white ...

Just like the OP I wore out a brand new set of 10 soles in about 8-10 rides.
I believe the OP and those replying are doing so in good faith.
I think the underlying cause may be something that hasn't been mentioned yet to my knowledge.
Could the chemicals and products some use to clean their boots be making the materials weaker or more brittle?
Maybe even the chemicals and products we use in the shop or on the bike are making their way onto the boots.
Are certain plastic and rubber compounds more resistant to these chemicals and products?
I had a similar experience using aerosol foaming window cleaner causing cracks on lexan goggle lenses and race car windows.
Certain tire companies advise against using any petroleum based products, like some tire shines, on their tires for this reason.

165-170lbs on KTM 250sx with stock foot pegs
Boots basically brand new with some wear from kickstarter... ride mostly on toes and the boots definitely saved me the other week with a hard landing only spraining my ankle
I only wear my tech 10s on the track. I am seeing some decent wear on the inside wear pads at the ankle and calf. For trails I have a pair of Sidis with a welt sole.
