The TLD works much better for me, and feels less restrictive. The new TLD is much more open around the neck and shoulder area.
I cut out parts of the EVS and that was better but still tight feeling. Personal preference I don't take the shoulder cups off, which would make any of them fit better but with the should/collar bone issues I've had I'm more comfortable with them on.
No matter what, when you where both, it's going to feel different than no neck brace.
My kids whine once in a while about wearing one, and there is no leeway at our trailer. If you ride, you wear your Leatt.
I have a Thor Sentinel. cut the back down a little bit and took off the platic on the shoulders and left the elastic foam and even trimmed that back a little. After that it was perfect!

I trimmed a 3/4" off the outer edge of the top shoulder "wings" so I doesn't leverage the Leatt upward when I raise my arms. It would push the Leatt up and contact and raise my helmet up.

The Flak Jak fits the Leatt perfectly.
We are currently running a 661 Defender but I had to modify the shoulders a lot to fit the brace.
Next one we buy is going to be an HRP Flak Jak
I also have the Airframe and it works well, not as comfortable though.
The best thing to do is to go to a Dealership and try out different combos.

My husband wears a Thor Quadrant and also did not have to trim.
I chose the Airframe since there were more sizing options and found that it fit me better than other brands.
