Ive had my leatt for about a year now and ive seen a lot of people with there braces painted different colors and now want to get mine done. I talked to one kid who did his himself, but i don't want to screw it all up. So does anyone know where i could send it to have it done at. And if i do decide to do it myself what kind of paint would you use that wouldn't wear or chip off.

I had mine painted by AP Designs.

I had it match my helmet and did what is called a distressed look.

Heres a close up.

Just take it apart......... it cost me $100 to get it painted.......

Painted Leatts are cool but if you were a chest/roost protector it will rub the paint off ware it sits on the brace after so long

Ha! I'll bet there's not one site member that has not gotten burned on that play at least 5 times, no matter how old it is, it's still funny...

The way i see it is. I will never be as fast as James or Chad. Therefore i will make myself look more cool than anyone else on the track. Ha ha. I am going to get my Leatt custom painted... Its the core thing to do.

You actually paint that padding on the shelves of the Leatt? What is so bad about a black Leatt?

obviously people just want to look good.

i remember racing 85's and wearing gear that was covered with holes and was like three years old. i didnt complain about how i looked i just enjoyed riding.

so who cares what your leatt looks like, protection is there for just that, PROTECTION, not for style or looks.

no one said this at all. but instead of spending money or getting your leatt painted, or new graphics for your bike. why not spend it on something that could make your bike perform better?

I drilled holes in my Leatt to save weight. I don't even notice it while I'm riding.

that said, I let my daughter take my Leatt to her young fives class and she did a great job with glitter and colored glue.
