Either 77 or 78 I think. I put 77 but I wasn't positive.

Bob Hannah was my favorite rider back in the day. Unfortunatly growing up in northern Ontario Canada i never saw him race on video. I had to rely on Motocrossaction and Dirt bike magazine to keep up on the sport. Thank you for posting the video.

Yup, Anaheim. Yup, 1977.
Had good seats on the 3rd base line.

I believe it's Anaheim. If it was the Coliseum, they would be going up and down the peristyle.

Man, they are flying. At first I thought the film was sped up. But looking at the people on the side of the track it's hard to tell.
I thought I heard a four stroke too.

Edit- seems sped up. But still very cool.

Definitely sounds like a 4 stroke out there.

Danny Turner ran a 4-stroke at the L.A. "Superbowl of Motocross" around that time. I don't recall him running it at Anaheim.

For sure, Anaheim 1977. If you don't remember, they did not run all the Supercross races at the first of the year like they do now. This race was run in November of 1977 and is the reason you see Bob Hannah on a production 1978 YZ250.

I went to the race and still have this:
