Last championship for MSR? Yamaha?

Jeremy Martin is in a position to end a long championship drought for Yamaha, but also MSR. Who was the last Championship winning rider that MSR had?

Anyone?

Langston 2008. Was wearing M2R gear then switched to MSR, on a Yamaha too!

Langston only switched to MSR in time for the last round at Glen Helen. It was 2007 but he was on a 2008 YZ450.

Wasn't 1990 the first year that Malcolm Smith Racewear and Hi-Point gear merged and were re-branded as MSR?

DownSouth....ridiculous how much I remember about gear from the 80's and 90's...I wasn't sure about Hi Point...I couldn't remember if the last year for High Point clothes was 89 or 90. So I looked up some pics. 1990 High Point was around...Buddy Antunez was still wearing it. It looked nearly identical to the MSR stuff just had HP logo's instead of MS Racing.

So I guess '91 would of been the first year without Hi-Point. Actually some of their stuff looked good. Jeff Stanton looked clean in '88 on the YZ's although the stuff looked 10 years old compared to AXO. Todd Dehoop's Hi Point stuff looked good too. McGrath was also wearing it in '89.

I'm about to wrap up the 30+ and 40+ championships in my local series for MSR. Does that count? Laughing

In all seriousness, MSR is an awesome company to do business with. I would love to see their product displayed in a few championship ads.
