A lot of people are complaining about the roller before the leap, but it actually makes sense. Now, I want to see riders launch the leap and land it but there is a safety factor. With the roller it allows for no one to be able to do the leap so instead of having 250 riders risking the leap or getting landed on. So instead of having all the 450 riders jump the leap and having 250 riders double-single the jump everybody has to double single it eliminating the danger. Now I know this is a pro race and they should be able to do it but you rather be safe then sorry.

i'm sure there is a coherent post in your statement, but the lack of punctuation is confusing. I read it 3 times, and I am still trying to figure out what you mean.

No not really. I’m sure when most people think red bud, the leap comes to mind first. I’m sure all the fans want to see them hit it. It’s like iconic jump in motocross. Idk why the track workers would do that

I’ve also hear people complaining about the lack of beer on Larocco’s Leap. This race is turning into a muddy unalcaholized joke. The nerve of promoters to put on a race on a rainy weekend with a roller and no beer. WhistlingWhistling

Uh oh. Did that bad episode have a roller like The Leap does this weekend?

So when I stated that the roller would make it so people cant do the leap and people told me I was wrong... they were wrong. Good to know.

It's more the mud rather than the hump. Even that hasn't prevented a few jumping it.

I think we should be concerned with our corner speed not the leap at this point, maybe the fly 150's, larocco's leap, the crazy jumps that jody weasel has been building has taken our focus in the wrong direction.

A very long time MX fan/rider, I for one am very pleased when there's a jump every now and then that only very few world class riders can hit. I have witnessed a lot of races, and the moments that remain clear as lightning in my memories are the ones "out of the norm", such as when Everts made an absolutely insane line swapping outside/inside overtake at Walkenswaard, or when Kenneth Gundersen went berzerk over a small step up jump in Uddevalla, or like this weekend when Barcia, Paulin, Coldenhoff and a few select others(?) decide to do The Leap.

What would our sport be like if there were no place for acts like these? I know I love these moments, how about you guys? /Lasse
