Did Any of you ever race at Langtown?
I remember reading about langtown in the magazines
Before we had internet and i really hoped that would be the
Future.
A langtown in every city in america.
I never went but i still had dreams about that place
Looked like heaven to me.
Just a nice way to get a mx fix thats not to dangerous
Or high speed
Doesnt take up to much space isnt too loud.
For anyone that doesn't know what it is.
It was a supercross track made in someone's back yard in Southern California, and they used KX,CR,YZ,RM 80 bikes
With Air cooled 150 4 stroke motor put in them.

Any body got better pictures of it ?
Poll

If there was a Langtown in your city or nearby would you race there?

I too remember reading about it in the MX mags many years ago. I believe that they had to stop the MX racing, but still did some bicycle racing there.

I was lucky enough to race there as a kid. I have no idea what place I finished, but on the over bridge I remember my friend saying "spray the girls!" Laughing (last pic)

I'm middle facing the camera (black/blue helmet).. if you look on the left that's Cole Seely in the black tshirt

2nd from the left laughing because I was probably aiming at the hottest chick in the crowd I could find Grinning

I was fortunate enough to have raced at Langtown and Screwydilla. They were both very cool.

Awsome thanks for sharing the pics
I would have rather done that than raced local races on my CR80

I never knew what this was called but remember clips of it in a late 90's early 00's moto movie that I would play on repeat as a kid. Anybody know which movie? Maybe a Mini Warriors?

Last I heard, the Langtown track was more recently used for Cyclocross events.

Such a cool event, wish I could’ve experienced it. I’ve got bikes and am willing to travel if something like this ever happens again somewhere!

Im kinda surprised that more people haven't shared pictures maybe i should have done a poll asking
If people new of it or not, right now im getting the feeling
That more people on here aren't familiar with it than are.
Im not sure when it stopped. but maybe its just been long enough that most are to young.

From what i remember , it was just a house in a regular neighbourhood, and all the people showing up to watch killed it. Someone found the place on google earth on another thread.

I dont know why but that just seems like paradise to me

I want to recreate that, even if it will never be as grand as that again

Duuude, rip the footage from the tape and throw it on YouTube! I guess you’d need the equipment to do so, but that would be awesome.

We had some great races in Texas with these things to. There were some great races in Dallas that would have a packed field of entrees at Cartwrights. I had a YZ80 conversion that got sold to someone in Ca. Those are FUN bikes.
