Hey guys, Just wondering if anyone knows of any land or old tracks forsale in tx. Im looking to move there and trying to find some land to build a bunch of stuff on it. Probably looking around 20-50 acres. If anyone hears of anything let me know.

DFW is where it's at for MX in TX. The best dirt is in the triangle created by Decatur, Azle and Springtown. It's primo sandy loam, with a red clay base. It's Wise county and you can do whatever you want with your land, without fear of someone shutting you down. Oak Hill, River Valley and Masterpool's are the three public tracks in that area, and there are quite a few private tracks as well.

Talk to the Hahn's.

Don't know your budget, but is the MX Oasis property on IH 45 in Madisonville still unoccupied ?? If it's not in your budget, just open some massage parlors and involve yourself with a little human trafficking of Korean women.....

Call this place I cant remeber the guys name. I took my kids out there to ride, its a really nice place on like 40 acreas has a nice smaller house with ingroud pool and shop. The tracks and trails he has there now are real tame for kids but place has lots of potential good dirt. I was talking to the guy and he was telling me that he is probaly going to sell it this summer. I was asking what he thought it was worth and he was saying 250,000 to 300,00.

The old Thunder Mountain Motorsports Park between Rusk and Jacksonville would be cool. It was built on the side of a hill, and those are hard to find in Texas where there is good dirt. Lots of elevation changes and great dirt made for what I considered to be one of the best tracks in the state. That east Texas red soil is awesome when moist. They closed it down and opened a round de round dirt car track that appears to be closed from satellite view. Looks like the three story scoring tower is still standing.

x100. Love Montalba. I35mx about an hour north of Dallas is for sale now. Hope it goes to a good home and we don't end up losing that as well.

I've heard I35 is for sale if you like sand. I don't understand why people don't go there any more.

Dont know how deep your pockets are, but the old Crosscreek MX facility is for sale. 400 acres all total, two tracks, buildings, bathrooms scoring tower, lighting on night track, several irrigation wells, the works. Just outside of Austin.

Sold at auction for $120,000.... No equipment or starting gate and most of the land was sold off.... But the track and main parking was still included.

It sucks, but your ROI for hunting leases blows MX out of the water.

That said, The track in Palastine was in the I-45 deal, I wonder what's become of that?

As a 36 yr resident of Tx I don't know why anyone would move their by their own free will.Blink After I realized the earth wasn't flat and moved out to Az 2 yrs ago I never looked back, but I will say I do miss the tracks,Sad had some good times traveling around the state racing. My stomping grounds were 3palms, RioBravo, Highlands MX park. Been awhile but is Bastrop still around?

Someone told me there was a bowling alley nearby, and a good view from that small house.

Lakeside in Bastrop has been closed for a long time. Was really moved to Cross Creek about 10 miles away which was 10X the place Lakeside ever was. It closed recently and to 92's comment, would be the perfect place to buy depending on how much $$ you have to spend. About 45 minutes from Austin and the airport and you could open it once a month to riders and fund quite a bit of the cost.

We have lots of land in TX but about 75% of it isn't that great for MX and the rest gets really expensive the closer you get to a big city, airport etc. that you'll need. Contacting Short, the Hahns, Masterpools etc. would probably be a good first step since they've been through the process and know what you will need.

That property was sold a while ago. New owners are not into MX. Sign pole is still there but probably because it would cost too much to take it down. Sign blew out years ago.

I think what made Lakeside so great, was the fact that the two brothers had the prep of that track dialed in. Definitely miss that track.
