Lakewood under the sun is a completely different race than it is under the lights.
I think we can expect plenty of fuel/EFI problems as the elevation and heat have proved to be a challenge in the past. (Remember Reed's bike dying for no reason two maybe three years ago?) With the heat the way its been the past few weeks I'd imagine fuel boiling will once again be a problem.
It's not the same humid head the we saw in Texas but rather a dry arid heat. Add that with the elevation and I imagine we see fitness once again become a huge factor. Maybe not as tough as Freestone but a different kind of difficulty with riders becoming winded much earlier in the race than they are used to.
I predict the riders will be faced with the roughest track yet. David has a knack for getting the track rough and gnarly, add that to the fact the the riders were bitching last year about how smooth it was and I see a recipe for a haggard track.
What do you guys think?

I think Townley is going to have a good showing..same with local rider Derek Anderson.
I rode my mountain bike to the track last night. Layout is identicle to past years. I was hopeing for some changes, but will be awesome!

My picks are..
Dungey in the 450's ,Team Suzuki will be on top of things.
Weimer for the over all in the 250's.
(He has to have a break through race sooner or later)
