That's not very fair to the Euro riders. They aren't used to a man's track

I’ve seen some really big jumps on the GP tracks.

any reduction in difficulty is only geared towards making the slower teams more safe , has nothing to do with the top 20 from either series.

Soooo... Why not make it smaller for all the "slow guys" that don't jump it during the National?

If it makes for safer racing at this event, I'm all for it.

Not sure I agree. If riders land on each other...or get landed on.

For vetfest in august there was a roller infront of it. With that roller they put in and as sandy as the track is now, it was clear the goal was noone jumping it. Im guessing the 250 vs 450 is the reason for worry? 450 riders doing it around 250 riders that dont would be sketchy.

So it the setup going to be the same as vetfest?

When they held the MXGP at WW Motocross, the powers to be made the track owners shorten a 120' tabletop down to 90' along with other demands track and facility changes.

That is complete BS. It should be like the Ryder Cup "Our Track, Our Rules".

They should rename it for the event to Alessi's anthill or Martin's molehill

I am not sure I see the issue. There have been slower riders rolling it along side of faster riders sending it every race since Mike stamped his name on it nearly 3 decades ago

That can be taken both ways is it making it safer or more dangerous - If they make it smaller then more people will try making it more dangerous if it is left big then slower teams will not try and clear it making it safer - Can argue either way it is the same -

I totally agree, I was just saying what I thought the reason was.

We all know to YS , Americans are stupid and this is how it should be is the real reason.

I agree with D Points. No issue with 2 lanes with or without the newer dogleg. Pros will figure it out safely to be competitive.
PS- I raced against Mike L SR. at RB before the leap existed. He would agree I am sure. Great man with a great son.

It never was going to be removed, it was a rumor started on here by someone who wanted it removed for the race.

It will be the same size as always, they are just omitting the hockey stick turn before it. This has all been announced a while ago.

I think because the guys at the back during a National are still faster than the guys from, lets say, Iceland, Philippines or Ukraine.

Anyone thinking the top GP riders are incapable of jumping the leap is an idiot. I've even seen one of the Irish team talking about his excitement at jumping it.
