I’m in the market for a new helmet and these LS2 Subverter helmets have caught my eye. Around 200-220 so half the price of top tier helmets but they seem to have good reviews.
What do you guys think about them? Is the low price point really a reflection of the quality?

My brother has been using one for a couple years and has really liked it.
The Shop
They do have a unique Airoh'ish look to them.... some love em, some hate em.
The look reminds me of the Just1, Airoh, AGV and Suomy helmets that many of the GP riders wear.
Also appears to have really good venting.
Craig is sponsored by LS2
I got the backstory on the helmet too, apparently their version of mips is superior to bell's and thus they were sued and can no longer say that their helmets have mips inside... theres more technical details. But thats my understanding. also its well vented and feel good on this melon. Also i saw a video of a dude who crashed into a tree at significant speed and he didnt get a concussion, but the helmet was bent the fuck up.
Pit Row
I was in Chaparral moto for like 2 hours looking at helmets and comparing.
LS2 is gaining popularity because its at the perfect price point of 250$ at that particular store, it seemed the helmet manufacturers go from 0$ to 100$ helmets then to 150$ <--- which all seem to suckass.. Then they jump to 400+ dollar helmets. I went in there wanting to spend around 350$ max.... thus ended up with a ls2 because it was the most features and best priced helmet chaparral had. There does not seem to be much in the middle class range as i call it 200$ to 400$ for helmets in person at that particular location.
Unless you really need a carbon fiber shell.. its 100% not worth the expense north of 400$ in my opinion
Im at work so i probably confused it, but it has something to do with floating mips/mips.... mind you this was from a dealer employee, who may have heard it from someone else etc. so i could be completely wrong. just relaying what i was told... i did a google search and didnt find ish on it.
I'm sure the ls2 is a fine helmet. But its no where in the same league as 6d.
I like mine, it’s probably the best thing I’ve bought for riding in AZ. Everyone’s head is different, but the padding is really comfortable to me. I bought it not long after I bought a Moto9 and I haven’t worn the Bell since. The ventilation is much better
Some things to note:
-The vent holes on the outside are much larger than the holes on the helmet interior.
-Mouthpiece is pretty bulky although I don’t notice it while riding.
-The visor does not block the sun (the cutaways are too big and the light shines right thru)
