Evil could clear it on a xr750 with a open face helmet in a jumpsuit with a cape. But he never could win a national...

I was wondering if LACR mellowed out the landing to try to save any Rookie wannabe's from coming up short and having their shock go through their bunghole

Bubba has done gnarlier on a 125. In the dark, in Florida, in sand.

That is a single to table.
This is a quad. 4 Jumps.

Not sure why but it didn't look nearly as sketchy in this vid. Camera angle, or did they change the track a bit?

This is a classic case of track owners putting something out there to tempt riders. If they built up the jump leading up to the first double, it would not be possible to clear all of that.

A whole other debate there.

I agree 100 percent Fat Fingers. Something tells me this guy is a professional practice rider and not a MX racer....but I've been wrong before. Wrong or right color me unimpressed as jumps like that IMHO have zero to do with MX.

He's an Amateur that races regularly and is trying to go Pro.

But they would have enough momentum coming down the hill they could possibly go from this first new obstacle to the next one. Anytime you have back-to-back obstacles with any decent momentum involved, there's a chance someone will find a way to make it one hit.

Someone should tell him DeCoster pulled Dungey out of the amateurs for his corner speed not jumping skills.

I got this. lol I miss this one. You actually hit a single and landed at base of this before launching which made it even more interesting. Good times.

HA Flmxer, I was looking at those pics and thinking "why did he post four pics of the same jump" Then I realized there was a bike way up there. nice one. looks fun.

Some people consider jumping quite fun, such as myself. wink

You should realise that a seven second vid of a dude doing an epic jump doesn't mean he can't corner.

well because corner speed had nothing to do with hitting that jump. Did you see him almost stop in the corner before the jump due to his poor cornering skills? He should be a drag racer.

Dude people will bitch about anything on here.

What do you know about his corner speed? The guy could be a beast at mx, but you see one big jump and come to all sorts of ridiculous conclusions about him.

I'm pumped for you and others who love to jump. It is a free country. Personally I enjoy being able to walk and race MX more than I do attempting jumps like that.

To the guy who said I jumped to ridiculous conclusions I am only expressing my opinion and everyone else is entitled to theirs. In closing you have to have your head in the sand to not see the connection between jumping and the increase in injuries but wait a minute....it's only the Internet that is making us aware of these increasing more severe injuries....sure Wally.

Just another example of excellent track design....not. God forbid if the insurance goons come down on this sport then all of you jump fans can talk about the good old days after our sport is a shell of what it used to be.

Maybe you should realize that some up and coming racers focus on other things than sky shots like that don't mean anything if you're serious about making it as a professional racer.

This is exactly what I was referring to. What you said has nothing to do with your opinion. An opinion would be, "I don't think these types of jumps are helpful for someone trying to make it as a professional racer." Instead you go beyond that and make assumptions about his corner speed and how serious he might be. How do you know he didn't just finish some intense motos for training? Everyone knows that cornering wins races including this guy, so what?

In golf it's often the short game that separates the good from the greats, but does that mean they should lay up on their drives?
