I'm not much of a two stroke nut, but it would pretty cool to see a lot of top guys run the 250 class and ride a two stroke. Turn it in to the 250 two stroke class. Is there an advancement rule in Canada?
MX2 Open to all CMRC Pros and Intermediates (except former Canadian National Champions within the past five years), AMA A and B ranked riders. Riders that finished in the top 20 overall at the AMA Outdoor Nationals (250 and 450) or FIM GPs (MXGP/MX2/MX3), or top 10 overall in the AMA Supercross (450) class will not be eligible to compete in the MX2 Pro/Am class.
In 2007 (I think) Eric Sorby came to Canada to race a 250f for Yamaha and after 1 or 2 races they send him back home because of this rule.
He can't race the MX2 class in Canada.

Vince Friese raced MX2 in Canada all of last year and finished in the top 20 (18th) in the 2012 450 US nationals.

Kyle rode the 250 2-stroke for the first time a few days ago and loved it. While he is disappointed he can't race it in the 250 class he has decided to give it a go in the MX1 class instead this week at Gopher Dunes. If your in the area stop by and wish him luck in his run against the 450 boys with the 2-stroke.
What a shit deal, show up to race and no one read the rule book first.
I guess it is good of him to still give it a shot in the 450 class, but if James Stewart had a tough time competing against 450's on his 250T then Kyle doesn't stand a chance. Even in Canada.
Would have been interesting if he could have raced where he wanted to in the 250 vs 250 class.
Awesome to hear he's gonna man up and let 'er rip anyway, what's he got to lose? Have some fun, make some fans, nothing wrong with that! Can't wait to watch him.
Five years ago in Texas on the 450 I thought he was the next big thing. Then he turned out to be a turd like most of the rest of these idiots . Party on
When they are not banned from the class.

Regal finished 9th overall in 450MX in 2010 (5 seasons ago)
Decotis has never finished top 20 overall outdoor
He can either try it out in the 450 class or maybe they have a 350 or 450 for him to race.
He is there so I hope he still races.
